Mmmk, I know nothing about Z anatomy, biology what not. Post here if you can help us people that havn't read the book. Try to answer questions like, do the Zs set traps, are animals immune to the virus, I just want to know a little more about the Zs.

Any liveing creature can be infected,
On top of this zombies when they are created their flesh becomes toxic thus they don't rot for a long time... they don't set traps... they mostly jsut wander around bumping into think like a drunk person etc...

Zombies don't work. Period. Here's the thing. To make muscels contract you need ATP. Adenine Tri-Phosphate. To produce ATP you need to perform a) respiration or b) fermentation. Humans can perform lactic acid fermentation. Respiration takes oxygen, as teh final electron acceptor of the Electron Transport Chain. Zombies don't breathe. It also takes Glucose, which is broken down as part of both fermentation and respiration. Glucose is a complex carbohydrate, which zombies don't produce because they don't eat. Therefore chemically speaking zombies are impossible. They would be unable to move within a few hours, after having exhausted their ATP supply.

From what Max Brooks has published in his two books, World War Z and The Zombie Survival Guide this is what I have gathered:

It is caused by a virus that is not airborne or waterborne
It is only communicable through fluid transaction
Once infected a living creature will die however only humans will reanimate
Zombies do not have super senses or super strength they are exactly the same as the humans they were in life
They have no emotions, need no food, water or oxygen
They communicate through moaning if their vocal cords and lungs are still intact
They do not feel pain, fear, love, hope, or any other normal feeling.
The fluids in their body has coagulated, so conventional explosive does nothing to them
The only way to kill them is destroy the brain
There is no cure for the virus and the smallest amount of the virus will infect a person

No you don't understand. Reanimating the body would require the nervous system to still function. Thus the "hit the brain" part. However the spinal cord is just as vital to nervous system functioning. So that means it also happens to be a weak spot. Bu the final thing is that it takes energy to make muscle tissue contract. This energy is stored in the human body in the form of covalent energy bonds between adenine and phosphate. The most common form is one adenine and 3 phosphates. When the energy of the bond is released you end up with adenine di-phosphate. Then if you convert the second bond into energy you get adenine-mono-phosphate. Once you run out of phosphate bonds then the zombies body won't be able to move. That will be the of it.

I coudn't read any of that halak.

Heres what i found from the zombies in the WWZ series.
The zombies when reanimated have a sense of what they have at thier despoisal for instance if they have legs they would stumble with little motar skills.
If they were reanimated with arms they would crawl.
They do not divide cells or muscle tissue. In humans every time you walk reach out for something or just pick up something you are ripping muscel and the muscel is healed.
In a zombie it only has a few odd years before it becomes immobile. (in the book it addresses this)
Zombies have although primitive but usefully communication system. One moan can set off a chain reaction for miles upon zombies.
Zombies do not need to feed upon the living there is no need for it. It is only using 1 INSTINCT in humans. To feed.
Zombis are not aware of pain but when shoot off it's legs can become aware of this after a few days and use its arms and hands.
In WWZ it still has a few tricks up it's sleeves and when Max Brooks is ready to write another story about the answers it will address most of this.
The book said that the higher up's most have a idea why zombies don't carode in ware and why zombies have no brain function what so ever.

Heres what I found but i may be wrong on alot of points please correct me if I'm wrong.

You know its retarded, your body or more-less your brain can't live with out fluids and nourishment. The longest a real zombie would go for is about 2 - 4 days. Even if they make some mythical reason why zombies can survive there is still no way its possible. You need to drink, feed, and breath for your brain and body cells to survive.

For example, and by the way I've read the Zombie survival guide, zombies cannot move about a few days yet in the book it says zombies can last up to 5 years for a zombie to decompose. There is no way in hell that is possible.

Well you have to remember they are realy dieing... they are infected and their bodie still mostly runs normal... they still breath pump blood with their hearts see etc... and mos tof all their brain still eats up the body due to hunger... the onyl thing that keeps them from just falling over is that they slowly eat themselves to death... why do you think the infection only lasted a few months before it died off on tis own...

Ok basics here. The infected don't drink anytihng. A normal human can last around 3 days on average without water. But they're also running around in hyper mode, and vomiting blood and everything around them. They'd be goners in around 12-24 hours at almost. And Magura the anwser to all of your questions is no.

But still, you have to remember that they are still zombies... all zombies are technicaly impossible but a zombie somehow has a slowed energy usage... the thing is that yes they are impossible and any answer about a zombie would be impossible... but still they are zombies ';..;'... we need a zombie hero called frankinzombie ^^.

well i think i have an idea of how they could work

the virus could work like HIV where it goes in and infects white blood cells and essentially turns them into factories to reproduce well it could do that and reproduce the virus and then feed off of its own offspring because it has a high sugar content or something and as it desolves it releases metabolic fluid into the system increases its regeneration so it could feed off its self for a prolonged time but like what russian said a zombie that lived forever is impossible and even a year is a ridiculous amount because the systems efficency wouldnt be able to reach those kind of heights
