Text on map?

ive noticed in some maps that the maker has added text and labels to parts of the map such as by ******* or in vamprism "slayers level here" in the terrain like it was typed

how do i add this? i want to have New character and Load character under 2 portals.

+ how do i change the quest menu?

It would have to be done by triggers. I'm assuming the portals aren't "units", so you would have to make a region under them and then use: Floating Text - Create Floating Text At Point. After that it's pretty easy

What do you mean by this? Anything specific? You can change parts of the Quest menu in Gameplay Interface, but stuff like adding quests into the Quest menu is also done by triggers.

floating text? :P never seen that one!

i mean basic information in the quest menu such as about the map etc. seeable from the very start

Edit: found the floating text so thats sorted now Thanks!

andddd a new question, for my orpg i want creeps to spawn every minute IF all of the previous creeps or at least 50% of them have died.

++ if i want all heros that die to respawn in regoin 004 whats the trigger? i dont want to mess it up again

Very very easy. In the trigger menu, there's a section called "Quests". Just add missions with their title and description as information. For a cleaner looking quest menu, divvy it up between "Optional" and "Required" quests. Just make sure the trigger runs at like, 1 second of game time elapsed, to be sure it works Okay.

Easy solution: Download a creep respawn system and use that.
Hard solution: Every minute, pick every region that has respawnable creeps. Count the number of creeps, and if it's less than (or at) 50%, respawn some creeps so it goes to the right amount. This will be very CPU intensive though, because it's GUI (unless you do it in JASS).

Hero - Respawn Hero at (Center of Region (Region 004))

Or at least, something to that effect. Just pick every dead hero and respawn them like that.
