If I understood your post correctly, maybe give each two seperate units the different abilities, because if you have a standard ability and a custom ability running off the same base order string, then they may both try to activate at the same time. Otherwise, you need to change the hotkey. Not entirely sure, could you maybe elaborate a little, or post an example of what you're having trouble with? |

![]() | Re: Custom abilities+standard abilities Oh sorry for that, oh well, to simplify it, we have a Blademaster here who has a customized Shockwave skill with a hotkey of 'E', and that Blademaster also has a standard Shockwave skill with a hotkey of 'W'.. Now, when we tried to press 'W', both of the skills activates, the same scenario when 'E' is pressed.. I tried to change the order string of the customized Shockwave skill to carrionswarm but that aint made no change at all.. Ive also tried other stuffs here and there but nothing helped to solve the problem.. |

![]() | Re: Custom abilities+standard abilities The problem is because spells depend on the order string used (at least I think they do) to decide cooldown, extra effects, base ability, etc. Best bet is to give him a seperate, but similar skill, like carrion swarm, with a model that suits what you want, like the shockwave model. At least, thats what I can think of, for the time being. I personally have little experience with the World Editor, other than fooling around with some spell effects and looking at the coding from other peoples maps, so if this doesn't solve it, maybe someone else can help you. Another possibility is to post more often here, so you can attach the map that is giving you the problem, and people can give you a solution directly, or at least try to. |

That way the game know which spell you are about to cast. If you have two spells with the same stringorder that doesn't matter much. What matters is if you have placed it on the same unit. The unit will desperately try to cast both, of course fail and then only cast one of them. |
