![]() ![]() | removing/adding swords and shields from a model any way to remove a shield or sword from a model because adding a sword over a sword looks realy bad. any way with out editing the model to remove it? if u have to edit the model how big is the file size after taking it off? can you use imported swords on roc? Off topic alittle but when does a map size become 2 big? |

Usually about 100-200 kb. If you replace the original model with the sword with the new model without the sword. Then you won't need to import a skin. So in the end, your model would actually be less then the size of a normal custom imported model because they require an imorted skin. I'm not sure but I think that RoC maps can't even support imports. But I never actually placed with it so I don't know. That is a matter of opinion. Size only matters when someone is downloading it off of Battle.net. People with the average computer, becasue they dont' know how to properly use it when playing games like Warcraft, downloads a 1 mb map at a slow rate. A map like DotA can have a map of 2 mb because the map is so popular that everyone would just download the map from their site which would be faster. But usually, unless you add a ton of imports. Your map will be at a good size. And if you use the Vex Map optimizer (it was the best back when I used to play around with the WE. I better one might have come up since then but this one was really good at my time) your map size would be reduced greatly if you use it correctly. I can remove the sword from your model if you want. But in order to do that I would need to install Warcraft on this computer and find the needed programs. It takes about a few hours but this computer is old and can barely support the basics. |

![]() | Re: removing/adding swords and shields from a model Roc maps can support imports, but not ones based from TFT models. Also, maps above 4mb can't be hosted on BNET. |

![]() | Re: removing/adding swords and shields from a model There's an ability menu in RoC? Well, I think the most popular alternative is to use "Armor +1" or any of the armor bonuses. |
