"Epic" events

I want you're ideas as to random events that could change gameplay! Go wild (but don't be stupid =p)!

My Ideas:
-Neutral wolf raid of the village
-Eclipse (just makes it night time)
-Avalanche on Dragon Mountain (rocks are thrown at you =O)
-Dragonic rage (Dragons leave the mountains and scour the land to kill you =O)
-Nuclear Meltdown (the radioactive area is deemed unnaproachable and entering will cause massive damage... But maybe there's a reward?)
-Snow storm (no effect really, just cool)
-Fish spawning season (chances of catching fish tripled)
-Neutral mating season (all neutral enemies recieve a large bonus in attack)
-Hunter raids (twice as many hunters now)

Other's Ideas:
-Seasons?

Re: "Epic" events

Instead of having seasons randomly occur, which might not make sense, why not incorporate a season system (winter, spring, summer, fall) into your game, with say every 5 mins it moves to the next season. In real life, season greatly affect animals, so it would be appropriate for an animal based game to have season plays an important role.

For example maybe, mating is only allowed in the spring, or whenever wolves normally mate. Or in winter, snow slows all wolves, and makes them go through food faster.

Sorry for topic revival, but what about about a rainstorm, which makes your wolf move slower (Wet Fur) and see less.

I don't mind thread-dro-mancy here. It's reasonable. I'm gonna wipe the old posts right now.
