I hope I didn't put this in the wrong spot...

Anyways, a friend of mine from Wc3c (goldendercon) and I have made a spellmaking duo; EquippedChaos.

We'll be releasing our first set of spells soon, but in the mean time I wanted to introduce us to the community. And yes, we are taking spell requests. All our spells will be in vJASS. No exceptions. (Sorry).

And no DotA spells. Neither of us play DotA, and I personally refuse to recreate the scum.

Anyways, I hope we're well received and people enjoy our spells!

Just a warning: It's an insane spell. Balance is unheard of.

can you make a spell where the ground in a specific spot lifts up (in a radius of 1200), twists around, and drops back down, still rotated? i think that would be a neat spell for geomancers, to bring archers to the front or something.

It's highly unlikely that it is possible.

Anyway, how about a spell that is like starfall, tranquility and stampede combined, only it does it in waves, like affects 1/2 of the target area for 30 seconds, then the other half for 30 seconds, and pauses the units inside the entire area?

It's not that I would need it, or want it, it's that I want to test your abilities. Think of it as a trial.

sorry for being "noobish" but... i dont get what is going on here? are you making spells for the melee maps or what? i'm really confused about what you are talking about with the spell sets

oh... and while your at it could you make a spell that made bombs appear one by one to spell SUPERDINK then explode epically? like have 5 bombs appear one after the other to make the s then do the same for all the other letters? cuz that would be fricking beast

That was the part. Pauses units and only does half of the area at a time. Try it if you like, but I don't need it, only want to test your abilities, if you want it.

Superdink: We're making spells for the hell of it. And that's not a spell, that's an ego trip. Maybe you aren't aware how freaking hard it would be to spell somebody's name out via JASS?

Spoon: I see what you're saying, but making it involve only half the area is still easy; just make the dummy spell affect half the total area and cast in 2 different spots. Pausing all units inside is as easy as
GroupEnumUnitsInRange and then looping through them and calling PauseUnit().
If we felt so inclined, that could be done.

PLEASE, if you're going to ask for a spell, make it a reasonable spell and one that doesn't involve impossible logistics to achieve. (Not referring to Spoon's idea)

what about...

Flaming Self Missile!

this would be a spell where you light yourself on fire, charge forward while leaving a fiery trail, and all of a sudden EXPLODE into a million gory pieces, each of which look like a miniature version of you, only on fire and red. if any survive at the end of 10 seconds, THEY EXPLODE AGAIN! (not to make more, just to explode)

@Stubby: Single best idea so far. I'm not so keen on the "1 million versions of yourself" part, but we can definitely do something like "Burst into flames, charge, pwn".

"Versions of yourself" is not as easy as you might think it is... Especially making them and sending them flying to explode.

think Storm, Earth and Fire, only flying and on fire. and instead of reforming into the main person, they explode on death!

Too late, spell is already half coded. Spell is called "Ignition"

Ignites yourself, burning enemies nearby, and charges towards a target, leaving a trail of flame which also burns enemies. When you reach the target, you deal lots of damage and if the target dies, it explodes, making a burst of fire and guts that damage enemies near the target.

sorry but i dont get why that couldn't be a channelling spell, it could just summon a bunch of little spikey bombs in a certain area spelling something (like "WOOT" for less of an ego trip) and then exploding. like i said i am noobish to the whole spell thing and to worldedit in general so just tell me if its not possible. i wasnt trying to have an ego trip i just thought it would be a savage spell. plus exploding someone with woot would be insanely funny

The thing is, getting the proper coordinates for the spell would be like a bitch. I mean, if it were for a cinematic (the caster would never move), we could just pick special coordinates on the map and do it. But to make it a spell... it would look ugly =/
