Melee Clans really disgust me. I went to the channel of a now large clan (AK) to say hello to the cheiftan, whom I basically taught clanning to indirectly or not, and the idiots in the channel start going off on me for having a bad percentage. I try explaining how this is my first and only account(years old), how I don't make new accounts if I lose once, and I play for fun not some crappy percentage, but they don't get it.

Custom Clans however have their own problems. People seem to not be as screwed up as melee clans, but tend to be even more idiotic. What do you guys think on the subject?

Melee Clans - need a life.
Custom Clans - some DoTA clans need a life.
Also whether the cheiftain is 4 years old or 2 years old.

I really think it's the cheiftan and the shamans jobs to inforce the rules of the clan. And because the cheifan makes the rules up it's the cheiftan's fault. I made new accounts because of different servers and bad screen names that my friends told me that some people will boot you for having a dumb name. I say that people of high ranked clans are full of themself. That's how high ranked clans are like. They only get the best to make their clan the best. Everywhere I go on b-net there is a ad for a clan saying that you have to have more then 50% wins to join. If I could I would make a noob clan just for the people who wants to learn to play better can learn from.

MELEE CLAN = RETARDED-because they just play regular warcraft, are full of themselves and think that custom clans are dumb becuase they have no percentages.

CUSTOM CLANS = AWSOME-because are much more original, play more than regular warcraft, dont give a crap about what other people think of their percentages

DOTA CLANS = COMPLETELY STUPID-because they are way to intense

I agree with usesoap! Custom Clans don't care what people think and have much more variety, as well as being less snotty!
DotA clans play a dumb game so they don't count :P :P :P
Finally, Melee clans are rigid, play only one type of game, and worry about meaningless statistics!

Custom Games are just better in general. Much more variety and a lot more fun and noob-friendly. Except Dota. No idea what people see in that game or how the hell it got be as big as it is. IMO Dota clans are just as snobby and boring as Melee ones.

Some Melee Clans are nice, but the higher ranked ones are extremely rigid and annoying, but some Custom clans if not lead by the right chieftan and shamans are just idiotic, because there are more 2 years olds playing custom then melee unfortuneately. DotA clans are just way too hardcore, i mean DotA is an okay game, not my favorite, but okay, and it's popularity is way too high, it makes up 1/5th of all hosted custom maps. I was looking into making a pro UltF clan with my friend p0t_jaredman, and we were looking into clan GoS but we play 1.00c (seeing as we find it to be the better Footies map until Apples comes out with his) and i don't believe we can join now, excuse me for my long posts but just make them so that i don't need to post again.

yeah melee accounts are the worst and even worse then dota because they are the biggest pricks there is because they only care about a dumb statistic that only shows how little of a life u have (look i have 95% wins and 5% life)

course then u got ur dota clans witch are hard core gamer cultist who have probably built shrines in there closets to dota and touch themselves at night when dreaming about it and even though its not that bad of a aos its just the personalities of the people who play them who will get mad at u no matter what(if ur bad they scream at u if ur good you are apparently a maphacker)

then you get the custom clans which are the best because they are way more relaxed and can play any games and even melee games but u do it so much more relaxed and custom games r just so much funner

okay Well Custom map clans are more loose and laidback compared to some melee clans because there not always fighting or challaging other clans the only time this happens is when 2 clans of the same sort of map such as DW clans Dota clans (which sux) and some risk clans start going off on how they are better. so overall it depeneds on the person to whome is in the clan.

Make an account, win your first game. BAM! 100%, you can join any clan without limit.

Also, High-rank melee clans are gay. Melee is pretty gay too. I played some melee with friends in teams, and every game we matched up to pros, and they'd be like "lol wtf nubs go suck your dick u suck so much" and we're like... Wtf? We just want to play, jeez.

Custom game clans... meh. Depends on the game.

Dota Clans == fail.

My favorite custom games clans are the ones that don't focus on a specific game. If they do, the more like melee clans they are. My clan has people and shamans that like almost every kind of game (except dota! :P ) and we're all laid back and stuff, and we have no problems with clan wars or anything.

My clan, for example, was based around my map, Wolf Packs, but we also have games that we all enjoy... And then there's a certian member who likes games nobody really likes, but tries to feed off my clan to get members for his "team".

i got a couple freinds that used to play custom games and now play reguler warcraft, they arent snoddy or anything. infact every once in a while ill do a 1v1 in bnet against them, of wich i lose and they never call me a noob or anything just give constructive critiscisim.
