![]() | Road to Glory I finally finished my map a little while back. I spent a lot of time playing it online with others, where I have made subsequent revisions. I'm about ready to release another version and will post it here. |

I didn't think to write an explanation because I had been talking about it so long with just about everybody who replied to my threads, especially the Admin. It's an rpg. All the Hero's abilities are that of the game's, with slight level requirement alterations on a few. I tried to make it long and challenging, but many couldn't handle the skill required and ended up dying and getting mad and saying the game sucked and all...so I made a bunch of adjustments to speed up the game and make it easier for the vast majority of nubs who couldn't handle it. Then of course since it is long, when I play online most people won't stick it out. Objectively, I thought it was pretty good, and artistically creative. When I started the idea back in 2005, it was revolutionary - but it took too long to finish so much of what I have has been done and better in some ways by other mod creators. Plus I had an issue with the Vexorian Map Optimizer. The game would have this error usually after a half hour to hour of gameplay: FATAL ERROR! Program: c:\program files\warcraft iii\war3.exe Exception: 0x0000005(ACCESS_VIOLATION) at 001B:6F46931 The instruction at 0x6F469431 referenced at memory '0x0000000C'. The memory could not be 'read'. I contacted the makers and they helped a little, but were not able to solve the problem, and stopped replying to my emails. I figured since I could not resolve the problem, i stopped hosting it. But if you play LAN or custom, you can save progress often and you don't have to worry about crashing. It's kind of sad considering all the time I put into the map, and I can't play it with the public unless I want to go unprotected - which i feel I put too much work into to let someone easily take my work. Again I thank those here at Pollama who helped me finish the map - namely Mr .Zero, MrApples, MrOrange, Titan, and a few others. |

![]() | Re: Road to Glory No I didn't. I was recommended Vexorian as this forum (and the Admin) supports them. I have heard that they are the best, but I'll look at any recommendations you have. |
