 | JK Rowling writing Detective novel. Well, so my sources on Yahoo tell me, JK Rowling has been spotted in Edinburgh cafes writing a criminal detective novel of sorts. "I'll do exactly what I did with Harry — I'll write what I really want to write," Rowling said. She also believes that she is unlikely to have the same success with this detective novel as with the HP novels that we all love so much and hold dear to our hearts. So anyway, vote on what you're going to do when or even if this new book of hers gets published.  <br /> <br /> |

| Re: JK Rowling writing Detective novel. I'll read it if reviews are good. And it's a good thing that she's smart enough to know that it's unlikely to be as big as Harry Potter. That proves that she's still somewhat down to earth even though she's the richest woman (person?) in England. |

Not very much Stylistically I think it is crap I mean the whole plot is a little predictable A lot of it feels dry and already done after awhile Another thing I disliked was how she went from a very good and heart felt story To...well Emo darkness garbage... I don't see how you got to Emo from the HP books, sure it gets a little darker at the end but that was very much needed and approved of by the majority of her fans. Harry in the earlier books was a young kid who could do no wrong. No one is perfect, and in the later books it starts to show his weaknesses and everything. <br /><br /> |
