I've seen so many games where people say "NO LOKI" and when somebody gets him they scream "OMG RIGGED!" But I've been in a lot of games where he is in play, sometimes by multiple people, and I have never seen him dominate. In contrast, I have been many people utterly destroy everything using the following heroes:

Lord Emblem
Frostmourner
Beastmaster
Bloodmage
Sludge Lord
Poisonlord

I have used Loki before, and I did well with him, but I was disconnected early game. I have never used him since. That was months ago. Using heroes such as Frostmourner and Lord Emblem, and even the Crypt Lord, I have destroyed many people who used Loki. I believe has has the potential to be quite strong, but most people just suck with him. Thus, I often see him failing to live up to his feared potential.

See that's the bad thing if you don't host games. The host will just kick you out of the map.

I can kill anyone with Loki pretty easy because I usually upgrade my units to the point where Loki can't kill them with his Blinking Strike spell, and I use dust of appearance to make his windwalk nearly useless to escape from a battle. And if he tried to kill a lot of unit with his Ultimate, I just move my units away from him.

The only use Loki really has is to beat the **** out of nubs and to kill people who mass towers (his ulti kills towers, its a glitch)

Lord Emblem FTW!! The only hero that can actually beat fully upgraded gargs

I don't actually understand why people think Loki is really imba. His spells are the only "real" imba thing about him. Get dark ranger to silence him and he's pretty much screwed for like 5 seconds and that's all you need to kill him. It's Loki's spells that make him imba and like TheKIllerAngel said, other heroes are even more imba. No one has recognised it yet. That's all. A Loki lvl 18 would most likely lose to a dark ranger lvl 18 because ranger could silence , thus stop Loki from attacking. Loki isn't imba. Its how loki is used that makes him Imba

Dark Ranger could beat fully upgraded gargoyles too. Possession ftw XD

heres the thing. Unless he gets armnads (which would take a while usually), loki is almost powerless against magic shielded heroes, because he cant target them with blinking death. if everyone wore magic shield, people would say loki sucked.

Loki really pwns with the right items. Peple say his ulti is rigged, but I rarely use the ulti unless somebody is smart enought to tower. All you have to do is get durandel, fire emblem, death mask, immo cloak (optional), excab, crown of kings, and higher lvls and its gg for the enemy. Magic shield or not, with those items, he hits hard and fast. As for magic shield on enemy units, all you have to do is use blinking death on units not shieilded and the blinking death will auto go to units that are shielded (unless there are too many targets for blinking death)

I think loki is bad compared to some heroes, mainly sypher. Now scypher is good. People are just frustrated that other people use loki properly, and that they suck so much.

I actually haven't used him. I think I'd do well if I had him, but I don't think he's as good as people say. Basically, as people have said, just stun and kill. However, one overlooked detail that, for me, is the main problem when dealing with loki, is his tiny collision size. Basically, its really hard to click on him. Lots of times, a loki has gotten away just because I couldn't click on him with a bolt staff, hex, or any other disabling spell.

Its very realistic. I manage it every game. You get cloak ASAP, kill stuff, and get durandel, and after that, money comes in fast

An assassin would probably be more dangerous with those items.
