I believe that his Ultimate is suppose to slow and hurt enemy units but for some strange reason it doesn't work completely. I find it useful when I go to a base and some other's follow me. Then I use that spell so everyone gets trapped and have a hard time escaping. While my units attack a base. It keeps people with the better heroes away from feeding from my units.

i use his ult basically as a defense wen i didnt really tech but upped him wit items like durandal, MoD, and other attack increasing weapons....but when enemies have gargs or any other mass army that would kill me i just use my ult and it gives me enough time to hit them with some high power blizzards and that basically wipes out armies and watever is left i just get them wit my hero attack
