Leak Check V2(reducing lag in you maps)

Leak Check is a program used for removing leaks from you map. Go to the bottom to download

Q&As
Q:What Are Leaks?
A: Leaks(Memory Leaks) are small bits of information stored on your memory(not hard drive) to keep in mind what happened. After a while they can cause your computer to run slow and possibly lead to a server split

Q: How do Leaks Occur?
A: They happen when a trigger that uses locations, groups, variables,or special affects in a trigger and doesn't clear them out
If you use a variable to select a location the location needs to be removed especially if it is used often. Why? because the location will stack and every time the location stacks it save that to your memory and when it gets full or starts getting full it lags, causes server splits, and more.

Q: How does this program work
A: You copy each and every trigger as text and save it to a word file. Then you open it in the program and hit check. If you have any leaks it will notify you and tell you what the trigger should look like to remove the leak.

Q: How well does it work
A: after you get the hang of it, it can remove most(80-90%) of your leaks. This will significantly make the map faster if you have a lot of leaks. It might not find some leaks but it picks up most of them.

Q: Does it work with JASS?
A: I don't know and don't care because JASS is complicated and slightly useless... but feel free to find out.

That's how it is checking the trigger. It reads the JASS, and find leaks, undeleted unit groups, ect.

Very simple and very helpful, for every mapper.

Yet when making bigger maps, you should have learned it and you will notice there is other leaks besides unit groups, points, sfx's, etc.

But ehh... yeah remindes me of my tutorial. I just had much stuff lately... Blah I will see if I get time.

Kind of off topic but I heard to learn JASS you don't really need to know GUI. Or at least advance GUI to start learning JASS. So do you know any good place to start learning JASS?

Back on topic. It might help but like Mr. Zero said. This really takes care of common ones that you could easily find on your own.

Re: Leak Check V2(reducing lag in you maps)

Could someone just insert an entire .j file from the map into this to check..?

EDIT: Nevermind.. didnt like my ~43k lines.. 30 mins to load the file, 10mins to check.. and it didnt find anything (it prolly crashd and just left out anything after line 100)
