MrApples has a spectacular aura about
DDR Ram Compatability?

What determines a DDR RAM compatibility? Other than speed (PC3200-400MHz), pin number (184), and type (DDR1)?

Titan and I just bought 2gb RAM and we may have been scammed, so I'd like to get more of a background before I attack.

That is strange. I have never heard of any place that sells 90 gb of ram. And even even just 1 gb of ram, where I live, usually cost about $50 or more. And even searching the internet, I haven't found a single store that sells 90 gb of ram. And I also learn that computers has an limited amount of ram they can carry. And usually that limit for newer models are only about 4 gb.

I wasn't talking about 90 gb of ram, though it is quite possible if you know how to convert a hard drive.

I wish i knew how to though ...

Re: DDR Ram Compatability?

Sorry. I must have been confused because MrApples was talking about him buying more RAM for his computer and you just said that he should've bought 90 gb. So I naturally assumed that you meant RAM.

Hard Drive space and Memory are two different things. In simplest terms Hard Drive is the amount of crap you can put on your computer while memory is how fast your computer goes with those crap. I doubt it's possible.

I made my assumption off of something i saw some dude do inside of a news article...

Yes I know what the memory does, I use a great deal of it, since in the summers I basically work the hell out of my photoshop, indesign and several other programs to get paid cashmoney.

Re: DDR Ram Compatability?

You cant convert a HD into RAM... lolz tho...

RAM = stores info while ur comp runs
HD = stores info while ur comp exists

Making a 90g RAM stick would make your computer slower than a 64mb RAM stick though...

Re: DDR Ram Compatability?

operating systems can only see limited amounts of ram

for 32 bit operating systems they can only recognize 3 gigs max, 64 bit ones like windows vista ultimate can see more, but not anywhere near 80 gigs lol
