ok heres what is going on. i usually live at my dad's house wich i have dial up there. but every couple a weeks i go to my moms. at my moms we have dsl and my internet is pretty fast. i configured my modem there so i can host. last time i was there until now was about 2 weeks ago. when i played wc3 earlier today on dial up i had no lag problems what so ever, but i got to my moms house later today to find out that i can't play a single game any more. i tried reseting my router shutting down my computer making it so i can't host, i have no idea why it's doing this because 2 weeks ago when i was at my moms house it was fine with no problems. also the internet browser is working fast and at light speed, if you can help it would be greatly appreicated.

on another note i have a 2wire modem 2700hg-d from quest. have a dell lap top. 540 or something like that of ram.

You gotta learn to space out text :roll:...

Resetting your router would probably not help much. I'm no geek when it comes to hardware, but you could try the program from portforward.com, which I used for my router, and see if it can help opening the port.

Or go to there forums?

i can host a game just fine the problem is its so laggy right now for really no reason that i know of.

Well then that usually ends up being a computer issue.. try going to some channel with a bot and grab your ping. If its ridiculously high, it could be your internet connection, otherwise its definitely your computer.

ok i did what you said and got a ping of 78-115 i tried it many times through out today alomst all of them were in the 90s.wich i don't think is good but i really don't know. all i know is that my connection was great 2 weeks ago with no problems at all and after coming back after 2 weeks it now sucks but only for warcraft.

Whats the connection speed? By that i mean literal speed, not 'dial-up' or 'dsl'.
