  | Computer software for finding malicious content, or general bugs/corruptions. Im curious to see what programs all of you use to protect/maintain a good PC. Post your programs and comments on the effectiveness, or even a story regarding the programs. Untrusted: Nortons, never have found a thing with it.. Trusted: Ad-Aware (Lavasoft), have used to fix numerous virus' on friends computers (most likely caused from ****) |

| Re: Computer software for finding malicious content, or general bugs/corruptions I'd heard that Spybot works well-and Norton mainly blocks, as opposed to finds. It uses too much CPU power to scan anyways... |

| Re: Computer software for finding malicious content, or general bugs/corruptions I use AVG free and Windows Defender. Internet browser; Firefox. Add-ons; NoScript and Adblock. And CCleaner to keep the internet folders clean. That is fine enough for me and most people... as long you don't download random notpron of the internetz. |

Also, NoScript is great for blocking pop ups, as those are scripts.... :P And now, directly from chip's signature...  |

| Re: Computer software for finding malicious content, or general bugs/corruptions. I use AVG Free, EZ Armor Firewall and anti-virus, and Ad-Aware free. Works perfect. Oh, and firefox with nothing fancy. EZ Armor firewall is awesome, and free. |
