Anyone who has a WRT54GS router DO NOT UPGRADE YOUR FIRMWARE!!!! I did and can no longer host games, file transfer, or play certain mmo's. They messed up the firmware and the old version is not on their FTP site so do not upgrade it to 1.52.2.

Maybe it changed your IP address.. and you just have to make a slight alteration to where your forwarded your ports..
To check your IP, on Windows computers (because Macs are gay, and linux is not often used), run the command prompt with Start>Run>cmd, then type in ipconfig /all. Alot of info pops up blah blah, and look accross from IP Address, it should be 192.168.1.XXX, and that XXX is the number you slap in at the port forwarding options. But of course thats mainly for hosting.. as for file transfer and that other jibberish, you are screwed over :P.

The new version works just fins just be shure that you Port Forward ect as necessery because you would have lost all your old settings. Also make shure you are using a static IP address... i love that problem that ppl have ;P

if you still have problems just google "Port Forwarding" the first site will fix ya up all nice and good

I just going to be honest... there is such a thing as a downgrade... I think you can self downgrade something by going to control panel and going to add/remove programs, after that find the update and delete it... idk if it works but hey... wourht i try lol.

You cant downgrade a router from add remove programs. After you upgrade the firmware make sure your ip didnt change and re port forward because the router may have reset some functions.
