![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Rules of Tech Help board (Quote from MrApples. The whole topic: http://www.PoLlama.com/index.php?topic=2.0) Take-outs from Board Guidelines and Rules 2. No Double Posting; If no one is replying to your thread, this does not mean you should “bump” the topic or post again asking for people to reply. Bumping of topics is only permitted if 24 hours has passed since your last post and that it is not within the first(top)15 topics of the forum list. This especially means you should not post another topic on the same subject. 3. Proper English Only; We expect you to have some knowledge of how to speak properly, this means no internet speak or etc. Near-proper grammar is expected. Its not hard, and you don't have to learn anything to do this, just the best you have. Yes this also means to post in English only, as most of our users only use English, our supported projects are all English, and the forum software is English. 5. No “Spamming”; Your posts must have some point or value, and your post may not be similar to one of your recent posts. Don’t post just for the sake of posting. 6. Respect Administrator’s and Moderator’s Judgment; If they close a topic or etc, then it was closed/etc for a reason and there is to be no open debate about it. You may ask why through Private Messaging, but it must not be public. 7. No Profanity; Offensive language will not be tolerated; Although we have word censoring in place this does not mean every word will be caught, if you believe a certain word is offensive and should be added then report it to an admin/make a topic in Site Discussion. Do not purposely dodge the word filter, as it may be turned off for a individual user in your account options. 9. Respect Other Members; You are to be friendly and proper toward all members. Insults, offensive comments, and etc. will not be tolerated. 14. Topics, Limit One; When you make a new topic, make sure your topic is really 1 topic, as in not a 100 different subjects in one. You can make new topics if you want to. 15. Proper Topic Titles; Since we have a feature which auto-links some internet slang words to a slang dictionary, you must not use any sort of internet slang such a noob, or lol, in the title of a topic. Also your topic’s title must be appropriate, nothing too general such as “???”, “Whats with this”, or “Ulti Footies”. 16. Polls are only to be posted when needed; Do not post a Poll if the topic is nothing other members should vote on. Post a TOPIC instead. 18. No “Hijacking” of Topics; A topic is called a topic for a reason. It is for the discussion of that Topic or Subject, and that Topic/Subject only. Do not post in a topic about Sports, “How about them Nazis?”, which would probably be offensive anyway. 21. The obvious things; The things that a normal human being would know not to do, such as breaking into other people’s accounts or breaking the law. Yes it’s true, the law does apply here. As long as you post like a sensible person, then you wouldn’t even really need to read this (but you better anyway). Addition to the Board Guidelines and Rules, the rules of the Tech Help board; 1. Help us, helps you; This means you post much infomation as possible. Don't make posts where you just write; "My computer does not work, fix it!". We can do nothing then and the topic will be closed, if not deleted. Post your problem and tell us about your computer. Your CPU, speed, ram, graphic crad, os., etc. (Will add more later...) |
