[Tutorial]Round Walls

Rounded Walls

Ever wondered how all the "l33T" maps (such as WotTA and SA of middle earth) had so many cool bases, with round or curved walls? Always wanted to make some cool bases? Well look no further, here is a tutorial to make them!

1. Go to the world editor, and click Object Editor
2.Click the Doodads tab
3.Select Props and select Torch
4.Change the model file to any model of wall you wish, and change the name and so forth.
5.Place the newly created doodad on the Map, and double click it, and change to rotation to what ever you wish. My personal preference is 10 degree change.
6.After you are done placing the walls to your liking, place Pathing blockers (Ground) near the walls, to prevent units from passing through them.

Well thats all it is to it! I hope my Tutorial helped your map become better, and i hope you won't have to go through the same trouble as i did trying to make the walls round!

The fact that you referred to SA as a ""l33T"" map makes me want give you a very poor vote.

Re: [Tutorial]Round Walls

SA on TFT is a terribly laggy map which makes normal gameplay nearly impossible many times.

That aside, my bad didn't mean to bash on your tutorial, good work on sharing what you do know.

Upload them at imageshack, and then when your posting there should be an option bar with the icon of a picture, click that, and place ur direst link inbetween the [img]'s.

I'm also a little lazy. But I would like to see the round walls. Now you know why I'm lazy.

I can't approve this in its current condition.

Doesn't cover enough information, and the Poll agrees.

Re: [Tutorial]Round Walls

Second age by it's original maker (MMG_God) is a good map, then a man named Hannibal-barca arrived and added so much doodad and made it unplayable.

Play version 3b not 4something.

well it is terriby laggy I won't denny that however, I feel that it has more variations of attacks then any other map (that I've played) there are billions of things you can do as any race, its incredibly team oriented though more just in stragity then rather gameplay (ie not like rw) the triggers are well made, and the first 2 versions did not lag much at alll. The updated one that me and hanni did reduced lag significently removing skins, cutting about 3-5k doodads off the map.
