![]() | Spell that scales with Intelligence or Mana pool, other suggestions Hi there. I would like to mention the lack of any high-strength spells available to player for endgame playing. Ironically, the most powerful spell, Wish, is actually given to squire, the most basic of warrior classes. Even the most powerful direct damage spell (other than wish) can only deal ~5000 damage, and that's WITH cooldown! When you get Omega proof, your REGULAR shots deal 15k routinely. The ONLY spell that continues to be effective is the prophet's highly unreliable Divine Intervention. I suggest having several direct damage spells that either do something like: "This spell consumes your mana pool to deal 5 damage for each point of mana to target enemy unit." Or: "This spell costs equal to your INT. It deals damage equal to your INT * 5." In my opinion even that would be underpowered since the casting animation of each character cannot be hastened, but it would still be an improvement. When you have Omega proof, you will NEVER run out of you mana pool by casting 1000-costing spells, even at 0 cooldown, because your high intelligence causes your mana to regen faster than that. Normal attack damage scales with stats-why don't spells? ------------------------------------------------------------------------- In fact, I wish there were items that scaled with stats or HP as high level artifacts. Take the lvl 50 artifact helmet, for example. It's the helmet of friggin Agamemnon. But all it gives is 3k health and 1.5k mana. When you have over 100k health and mana, and Omega weapon hits for over 10k, an additional 3k/1.5k added to your health won't make any difference. Especially the mana pool-unless any scaled spells are given, Mana pool beyond 5k or so won't have any effect. Rather, have all high level artifacts give % based bonuses. i.e. "This sword increases your regular attack by 50%" or "This armor increases your mana pool by 100%". When I saw that the level 50 legendary ultimate armor gave 5 hp regen per second, I laughed. The character's pinky regens more than that. Have it such that "this armor regenerates 2% of your health each second." |

![]() | Re: Spell that scales with Intelligence or Mana pool, other suggestions Next time dont forget the poll. This idea is a basic of any RPG today. I wished the development team would add this in the next 2 or 3 versions. BUT I tried in creating maps, too. And such connections between stats and skills can only be created through triggers. That mean for every skill which has the connection between dmg and stats, have to be created a trigger. That's an enormous work, such a feature should implemented when creating the skills, at the beginning of the map development. So it could be too much work. I searched very much warcraft 3 map editor sites and never found an easy way to implement such a feature in my map, if there is an other possibility, please tell and educate me. ![]() In generally I support this submission. |

![]() | Re: Spell that scales with Intelligence or Mana pool, other suggestions I understand that it's a lot of work. But as I've mentioned, something similar to this has been done for the Squire's Wish spell. Can't it be done for other types of spells too? Now, if the prophet's Divine Intervention spell actually worked, it would be great. |
