| No Custom Sounds for mod How come there are no custom sounds/music for mod? :? I mean the mod is great, but together with those sounds it's lame... :/ |

And StarCraft 1.5's file size is already large enough because of the imported models. But even without those models, adding sound to this map would take about 2-3 times more then the size the models took. |

| Re: No Custom Sounds for mod So, suppose that somehow you could have an optional .mpq file, if you have the file you get custom sounds, if you don't, you can still play (thus b.net compatible) |

![]() | Re: No Custom Sounds for mod Yes Orange is correct. The amount of space adding in sc sounds would increase the maps overall size 10 x to much for playability online on bnet. The only way which im working on now is to create campaign maps for offline use only and then im not bound by the 4mb limit anymore. Ive pretty much updated the boot camp map which has reached 10 mb (uncompressed) alone . You can see how much more space is required to add sounds to the maps. The multiplayer maps will be updated i the near future with laster updates of zerg and so forth. |
