What, No animated avatars?

I know that the new forum doesn't support animated avatars... but still I think if you look into it you can find a settign to allow them... IDK its your forum... try to find a way please... I miss my random avatars :'(

i know that animated avatars might slow down the site a LITTLE, and so would larger avatars, but think of all the enjoyment people get out of them, apples!

Animated avatars should be allowed.

See the option 2. in the attached image below.

This is how the settings is right now. Are you sure you are uploading a .gif image file? Is it bigger then the allowed file size? Are you sure you are pressing the right button?

my current avatar is a test. it meets size requirements, maybe even under them, it's a .gif image, yet it does not work.

edit: and i could UPLOAD an animated picture, obviously. it just doesn't work.

this is the second avatar that is animated that i've tried. is there a setting you have to turn on?

Send me a copy of the image. It might be that the image takes too much space. If that's the case then I'll see what I can do with it.

What? No i'm not.

50KB is enough for an avatar isn't it? I'm worrying about some icons being 300 bytes... It's not bandwidth reasons, I just want the pages to load fast.

50 kb should be a good size. If I could use my avatar, which is animated with 22 layers and it's only 12.5 kb. So unless people are trying to use avatars over 64x64 or using animated avatar with about 80 layers. I don't see why 50 kb is a problem.

Yep, my old one doesn't. It's just a picture, not animated, and that's when i upload it, cos giving the link, it sais it's too big. Now i got myself a new one, it's not too big, but same thing, it's just a picture and not moving.

Indeed, they won't show up. Well They do upload, but it's not moving xD. I think it's because of the size. My first one was too big, then it finally uploaded but didnt move..
But the normal size of a moving avatar is like 30kb, 100x100. So pls change? xD

Problem is, the size. They cannot be larger then 64x64. Which is stupid cause 100x100 is alot more beautiful. To easily resize your avatar go here:

They have to be .gif though
