posting and credit rewards

i think that maybe you should get a credit bonus when you reach a certain amount of posts. or something like that, maybe every 300 posts you get a bonus of 500 credits then the next bonus is 600 and so on.

I knew that some members will cause problems when the shop system was added. Well lets see. I think mods got a 2000 credit start and Ultimate members got a 1000 credit plus. So I guess we already got the bonuses. But on a more serious tone. No. You should be glad that there is a .1 credit bonus per word and a %4 interest in the bank.

Also this should be in the site discussion. It involves something about the site.

Also I never understand why people care so much about karma and credits and post counts. Sure if you're new to forums then it's pretty cool. But they are worthless.

I really don't care about karma. Just because of how it works. Only letting 250+ change other's karma makes it too limiting but if you don't then people randomly change other's karma. And because people don't have to list reasons. You don't know who did it. I think that karma is really not the best way to do it.

Its not too limiting, i'm leaving it up to experienced posters to judge.

And if they get -karma, they have to waste credits on fixing it. Credits may not be worth much now, but they will be.

Perhaps you can add a -karma or +karma in the shop. And make them like 200-500 credits. That way normal members and change karma but they would not use it without thinking because they don't want to waste credits for that. They want to save it up to egg you with.

i like the idea of credits being taken away for changing karma, but maybe it could cost 100, because it might be hard for some people that don't post often to change karma. highlight the text below!

you should stop people from using black text to increase the amount of text by just typing something like a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a in black text to get more words so that they get more credits, therefore making completely and utterly new people able to mess with the more wise, wonderful, and great admins, ultimate members, regulars and some of the members by sticking eggs all over their stuff and changing peoples' custom titles to something offensive that could get them in trouble! maybe you should just take out the black text, as it serves no real purpose with the default custom forum skin being black and all. This is just something you might want to consider. if you actually see this, then you should tell mrapples about what i just said here and that he should take out the black text because people could abuse it to get more words for more credits!

No, you get 5 for posting, and a bonus of up to 50, .1 for each word.

You know Stubby, I'd thot about doing this since i notice credits had been reinstalled to the forums, and noticed there was the bonus, but truely.. is it really that important? Another thing to consider, is BB Code added to the number of words used to calculate the credit? If so, you could just post some random link with a huge URL address, or even had quotes via 'insert quote' to get all the extra code for date, message number, and what not. Although a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a could work theoretically. But after you posted this, i did relize something that i already knew... the background isnt black. Just to prove this i spent extra time reading your black lettering without highlighting it. Although, yes i did read it once so i was clued in, the lettering is still eligible to be read and seen without the use of highlighting. Also, i should be getting 25 credits for this ONE post, which does seem rather bizzare, think if shadow did this to his 2000+ posts, that would easily be over 50k creds.. dang he mite be able to get that new UltF map.. well im out of random crap to say.. so like mama always says..
