noooo! breaks are evil, it may start off as one day but it turns into months! which is y my map i worked on for about 9 months is not done yet. breaks will kill your map...

 

lol, today might be another break, I'm beat tired, stressed and sweaty! I came home after a half day, i saw one of our dogs apparantly escaped "again" few hours after I went to school, its my step sis dog, I thought she just put the dog back outside(with a big ass hole in a fence) And leaves, i come home dog is gone, nowwhere to be seen, so I'm pissed off for quite a while, then I notice the dog is in her room in a cage covered with clothes... and the dogs black and so is the cage... Sooo lol

Or really slooooow, like host had a delay of about 30sec.. But i suppose not. But man 6 hours O.o I think my longest ever would've been around 2 hours.

My opponent had masters and wizards, I had celen defenders, ursa soldiers, elder shamans, dooms, splitters, wendigos, a total of around a 80 spawn, he had a 50 spawn. Lasted a long time, he had tradewinds and crassus, we also had 10/10 melee and 10/10 range, and we used factories, by the time I won, I had over 100k gold.

if i did factory mode, I'd make a spawn of 200 ogre lords!

lol I had 22 lvl 3 factories, which spawn 50 gold each xD

Nah like 80-100 a spawn from like 5 bases total lol

Oh hey guys, think of some custom heroes I can put in the neutral Taverns around the map, think of heroes with what stats, spells and model. I already thought of a couple. is it just me or is it you can't play a custom game in Sp over 3MB? I added some models and **** and I made a bunch of new stuff and I couldnt find the map ingame lol

what do u mean by "custom game in Sp" i know the max for battle.net is 4mb but u dont wana get that high. You also know seeing how its only a re-done melee type map it wont become very populare so a huge file size like 3mb will not help. Most people are not gona wait to dl a map for 3-5 mins then wait for others to dl too if it dont seem that great. Lastly the host wont want to wait 30mins to get a bunch of people to actualy play the map.

Summory: custom models may look cool but they have zero effect to the game play so just try changing colors/size of old models maybe adding weapons to them and remove the custom models.

 

When its ready I'll lower a lot of the models, but in this project, models are a key, with no custom models, this project would just look cheesy and stupid. I mainly need models for the new faction and a few units for other sides. There are also programs that make it smaller so it won't be a huge deal. Right now its past 3-4MB, once im done experimenting and testing ill start throwing out models i'm not using.

Sorry with the lack of updating and posting here, I've mostly been doing school crap and other stuff, I haven't really been at my computer alot like I used to, I normally have been only getting on to post on some of the other topics here, checking in on other sites, checking my emails etc. And when I can I sometimes play little bit of CS or wc3. So Process will be a bit slow, this project isn't dead, it will just be a while before its done. I have been getting more ideas, so this isn't a dead project. Try coming up with different modes, maybe we can turn this into more of something other then a melee map, because we all know that won't really get popular, only a few people would actually play it. 2 kinds of genres I can make into this is like a castle defense map or even a footies kind of map, only with a lot different units, races, upgrades, etc. Though its up to you guys.


EDIT: I'm thinking of making a footies version of this, quite easy to make, I have a old footies map I made back in beggining of summer I was working on. It was based off of a very old footman Frenzy map, only thing I'm using it for is for its basic spawning triggers, which are heavily modified. I think a footies version of this would be a bit more popular then the melee one, up to you guys though. I have better ideas for the footies one.

You mean version? (totally different map). I just don't really like that idea, because then it seems just a copy of 12 kingdoms lol. My idea for footies is far from just a copy, spawning is a lot different, and heroes arn't super duper imba units you needs to win, which most footies Depend on heroes, instead of the armies.
