![]() | Embarq = Commy Bastards? Embarq has a new feature, where just because they are your ISP, if you get a 404 Not Found error they redirect you to their site with their rigged search which people paid for listings on (looks like it anyway). If you go to "Your Preferences" and opt out, it only works for about 5 minutes, and then your redirected to embarq once again. What the hell is this? Who gave them the right? |

![]() | Re: Embarq = Commy Bastards? Yeah it matters? Maybe I don't want to give embarq more money everytime I get a 404. What if this is only a stepping stone for something else? What if it screws with stuff like virtual sub domains? |

![]() | Re: Embarq = Commy Bastards? Well when your trying to setup rewrite urls and have no idea what your doing you will ![]() But the point is, they shouldn't have the power to do that, and they shouldn't even do that. Like with Google, their #1 rule is "Don't be evil", but many people criticize them for having the power to. I don't want to give embarq traffic, maybe I like Firefox's 404 page, who are they to decide that for us? |
