Im doing a book report on gandhi... and i wanted you all to make fun of me for it... ive got to type 34 pages ^^

Life of Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi

Caste
Gandhi was born into the 3rd of the 4 Hindu castes; his caste was that of merchants & traders… the last name Gandhi even meant grocer. There are sum 3000 subdivisions in the caste system, those without caste where known as untouchables. The untouchables were in the Hindu tradition… filth, and whatever they would touch was contaminated with this “filth”. Though Gandhi would later call them “Children of God” to this day in India the caste system is still enforced though not like it was then. During Gandhi’s years on community, kibbutzim like settlements he would often do the things that were ounce left for untouchables.

Childhood
As a young boy Gandhi was like that of most children… mischievous, and immature to a point. Nothing like the man he would someday grow up to be, Gandhi in later life would often say that the man he was now is nothing like the boy he was then. Gandhi’s father, Karamchand Gandhi had been married 3 times before he found a wife that bore children. Gandhi’s mother, Putliba was only 14 when she married Gandhi’s father.
