After many months of converting and debugging I've finally released my first ever Starcraft campaign map. This first mission is based off the Boot Camp Tutorial from the Starcraft Demo verison game, and teaches players the basics of Starcraft with gathering resources and building basic units. I hope that this new development will bring Starcraft 1.5 3D Conversion Maps Project into new territory with fans and critics alike and give Starcraft new life.

NightWolve. On avgerage how long does it take to make one of your starcraft maps? I'm guessing quite long.

right when u get really into this, that will come out. i think you're doing a GREAT thing. i love starcraft but now that sc2 is coming out it kinda ruins this. but if they go on like the've been, then u have nothing to worry about. it will come out in like 3 years.

My friend said something like all the original creators of Starcraft left Blizzard. But anyway. Some people will not be able to buy Starcraft 2 when it comes out because they are bad with their money and their parents have this "learn respect for money" for something like that. So Warcraft will still be popular after a few years after Starcraft 2's release. Like I'm going to wait for it's expansion pack then buy the cheaper game+expansion pack box set.

Well something I learned is that sometimes they don't have bad computers. They just don't take care of it and it ends up becoming crap. I was one of those people. But before it actually became crap. I spent a few hours deleted everything I didn't need. Looked for spyware and viruses. I tried almost everything I know to clean out my computer that I could do in a day without costing me money. Now my computer runs almost twice as fast as it used to. And it lags less. But still I play warcraft on my brother's computer because he got a new computer because my computer is actually his old one that I got because it got a huge virus attack and my parents just bought him a new one while I got rid of the virus and did a lot of repairs to my computer. Now his computer is only faster because it's a newer model.

To make this long story short. It's not the computer's fault. It's the fault of the owner of the computer who keeps 10+GB of **** on their computer.

or people just have crappy computers, i don't even have dedicated graphics card, i just have one of those intel integrated graphics pieces of junk

with an older game like WC, i think the big problem is people who have low amounts of RAM and so have trouble with alot of maps that have mass units.

Well my computer is also crap but after I deleted unneeded programs on my computer. Shutdown all unneeded programs when I play WarCraft. And putting graphics in WarCraft to low. My computer doesn't lag a whole lot. Only in times where normally everyone will lag.

I have pretty much the newest dell desktop....well second best.. ( XPS 410 is second best to XPS 800).... and mine runs really fast.. When I play MoHAAB online i'm always first on the start of a new map. Same with Wc3 I once beat a hoster to thee game before he even saw the screen!


Oh and Night_wolveX the download links aren't working...

Man i'm looking at these screen shots and this game looks unbelievable. seriously. i'm going to have start playing this till starcraft 2 comes out or till i find a way to get my disk working without paying for a new one. it looks like you did a great job on this man. good job.

btw, my comp is pretty good. plenty of ram, enough HD space, and a pentium 4 processor. plus i take great care of my computer. i mean great care, its always defraged, i delete all old files that i dont need and everything says it should work GREAT. even a great video card i was going to buy but got for christmas instead. but since we are running a crappy wireless network my net sucks and i can't play online worth a damn. there are many factors involved in computer speeds, not just quality and care. but those are two of the biggest.

I have wireless and I play online...never had a problem with any game.

Oh i'm not saying that Wireless itself is bad, just ours. i've seen great wireless connections before, but mine is not one of them. it goes in and out of connection all the time. its probably because i'm on the other side of the house from the transmitter :tongue:

I got a somewhat good wireless connection. Bad in bad weather but still. It actually works really well only taking out bad weather but then again my older brother has a bad habit of doing stuff that completely messes up the connection leaving me off with no connections for hours until I wait it out or usually when I reboot every single thing. Kind of explains his computer is crap. It takes him three or more times to open or load something that I could load with another huge program on. And the sad thing is. His computer is newer and my computer is 3 or 4 years outdated.

Lol 10 GB? LAwl! I have 100 gigabytes ;P On my borg not my pc. My pc is for games and games alone. ^_^ Good external no clogging my pc with teh pron.
anyway my pc can't lag on like any game, ridiculous cpu specs =P. MY pc could run anything in the next 5 years at max specs most likely.
