 | Discovery Space Shuttle Launches today! CAPE CANAVERAL, FLORIDA The discovery space shuttle is planned to launch Tuesday, October twenty third. Scientists were optimistic about the launch, even though there was sporadic raining over night, and more to come in the morning. Engineers found small damages in some of the tiles of the wings before launch. They were ignored because they were "Too small to be a setback." The Columbia was destroyed because of damaged wing tiles in 2003. The Discovery is planned to take what was called "living quarters" up to the International Space Station. It's called Harmony, thanks to the winners of a naming contest. After a while, two research labs will be brought up to the ISS to connect with Harmony and the ISS. Well its obviously a big deal, i am very interested in space, but stubby, u really do need to put in some more info or at least a link to an article about it.
