[HERO] auman

name: Auman

this hero is supposed to be based on auras. each aura has a negative side effect which is canceled out by another of his auras.


model: was thinking of a purple infernal

attributes: agility: +2.5 (main attribute)
* * * * * * * * *strength: +2.5 (main attribute)
* * * * * * * ** intelegence: 0 (never increases)
*yes he has two main attributes


bloody aura (aura):
* ** Auman teaches all units beside him how to gain life by drinking blood. unfortunatly this causes them to be overeager to attack lowering their defense (melee and range).
lvl,hp steal, def decrease, aoe
1-20%,-1, very small
2-40%,-2, small
3-60%,-4, medium small
4-80%,-8, medium
5-100%,-16, large-medium
6-150%,-32, large
7-200%,-64, huge


catious aura (aura):
* ** auman teaches nearby friendly units to be catious. unfortunatly this causes them to slow down (both attack and walk speed).
lvl,def bonus, attack speed decrease, aoe
1-2,-10%,very small
2-4,-20%, small
3-8,-40%,medium-small
4-16,-70%,medium
5-32,-110%,medium-large
6-64,-160%,large
7-128,-220%,huge


Hasty aura (aura):
* ** auman forces his companions to work faster. this causes them to become unweildly with their weapons however causing them to hurt themselves with every blow.
lvl,attck/move speed bonus,dmg to self (based on dmg dealt to enemy, your defense doesn't block any of the damage), aoe
1-40%,10%,very small
2-60%,20%, small
3-90%,30%,medium small
4-130%,40%,medium
5-190%,50%,medium-large
6-250%,75%,large
7-320%,100%,huge


stealing aura:
* ** auman copies auras from other nearby heros giving him their aura at the same level that this skill is on. (doesn't work on friendly auras)
lvl, # of auras he can copy, aoe (of grab and effect)
1-1, very small
2-1, small
3-1, medium-small
4-2, medium
5-2, medium-large
6-2, large
7-3, huge

**ULTIMATE**


Aura Booster:
* ** these motionless "boosters" (was thinking they should look like healing wards) boost the potency of ALL auras near them (except level 3) (they don't stack). they are invincible and last 30 seconds each,
lvl,aoe,potency multiplier,cooldown
1-small, +50%, 30
2-medium, +100%, 25
3-large, +200%, 20 (will only effect your teams auras)

ok i didn't get to balance this as well as i had hoped due to time constraints. please post your thoughts on this hero in a constructive manner and people DONT FORGET TO VOTE!

Its an ok idea..
but the arause dont seem right.

128+ defense.. Thats alot.

ok next time before you flame look closer. it gives 128 def AND -220% attack/movement speed. sure if you wanted to you could have footmen with that much defense moving at oh... -15 mph. to get faster you have to get teh haste aura which casues them to damage themselves in which case you need the blood aura which causes their defense to lower. in the end they only get 64 defense which is perfectly acceptable.

i want everyone to realize that this is not a simple "get a aura to help units" hero. this hero pracitcally requires you to get all the auras or else you units will be at a disadvantage.

ok i have done a bit of rebalancing. now remember they might seem like big numbers but they are all reduced by the other skills. end bonuses: 100% life steal, +64 def, +100% move/attack speed, and has the ability to steal another heros aura.

I like the idea.
The end bonuses should look more like:

70-80% life steal
30-40 armor
70-80% move/attack speed
and the aura stealing.

im not sure about that. i mean his auras shouldn't be weaker then the coresponding original aura (i.e blood aura and vamparic aura) if those are the cooresponding aura strengths though i will be happy to change them.

its not really that confusing think of it like this. aura 1,2,3 all have good and bad abilities. aura 1's bad ability is canceled out by aura 2's good ability, 2's bad is canceled out by 3's, and 3's iscanceled out by 1's. now the good abilities outweigh the bad so in the end you get a "balanced" bonus.

but this is only good when you have all the auras on equal levels right?
Then i kinna get it. But, it will be kinda hard to use and implement him in the game. As he is not a hero killer or a tank so he will have to have some units with him all the time. But then again with 64 armor and a firecloak he will be hard to take down.

yes he would be.. he should be noob friendly because almost every single skill is passive and the only one that isn't his ultimate is forgiving (low cooldown.)
not only is he noob friendly but he can be very useful for pros. think. what if you only had footmen, you could tech hast aura allowing them to souround enemy heros easily then basically deal their life total of damage to them (because they attack real fast and deal damage to themselves). also if you had gargs you could only tech the armor and so they would move about the same speed as normal units but with extra def. or you could give your gargs the vamparic aura and since they already have high def they would be lowered to about normal defense.

Im sorry, but this hero isn't good at all, no offense. I see how your trying to make a cool hero with all auras but heres the problem.
You cant have auras that have a disadvantage.

I actually think that it's pretty cool.
It makes it a little more original.
That way, it's not a copy of bill killmaizer, the guy in footmen frenzy.

That's what I meant.
So basically, once you max all of the skills
after all the balancing,
that's what it should llook like.

Why the hell would you get a dk, a kotg, and kot grave?!?!?
That's freakin pointless.

I agree that the hero is currently overpowered, but you should give suggestions.
