Re: Straggler's Cove - How does it Work?

It really comes down to you guys but what I was thinking was pretty simple.

Three cities on this souther island. Each city has its own spawn (like Minas, etc.) and combined they create a nation spawn. So people can go here and up to three can stay (honestly, how often do you see 4 pirates or more?)

If you guys have better ideas discuss them.

Re: Straggler's Cove - How does it Work?

Ah- sorry i think i asked the wrong sort of question.

How will it work? As in, how will it not just be a pretty income source for the war machines?

Also, i say you should remove the nation spawn, it's less motive for the potential 3 pirates to wipe each other out.

Nos, this place shouldn't exist in the first place. The pirate whores are annoying enough as it is, so I'd say leave it how it is. Improving it is just letting the pirates off the leash.

Oh, and the nation spawn doesn't kick in unless ONE person has all three cities.

Yeah, thats the problem. Straggler's Cove is a sanctuary... somehow, and giving it a Nation Spawn gives the other stragglers a reason to try and claim the entire island.

Honestly, I like the idea of strgglers cove, but you could make a triggor where if you get all three of the cities you only get the incomr of 1.... idk... or jsut lessen the spawns :/...

Re: Straggler's Cove - How does it Work?

There's really no problem with it actually. I'm sure a good amount of players will fight over it, simply because it's out at sea, and might be hard to breach if a player controls it for a long period of time. This way, the smarter players can take the mainland, and win even easier. Less work for us

I could easily be wrong, but seeing as how many people love pirating as it is, this will be like heaven for them.

Atleast since it's here, it can have more than one unit... does it Nos?

From what i remember only Sailors are available. However, i think Mercenaries and Pirates of Umbar should be available. Althought Pirates of Umbar defeats the purpose of Sailors.

It's possible to make up new units though, and it wouldn't have to be very creative... I mean, it's a pirate area. Would there be mumakils there? :P

Na, we'd have to come up with some specifics for the nation. Ingenuity

Re: Straggler's Cove - How does it Work?

This idea isnt really BAD, but its not very good either.

Pirating is fun once youve been beaten, but to make it a viable startegy would make it so not fun. And what to keep the big guys from takign this place?

i suggest a mode in which everyone has an invulnerable city on a teeny island in the corner which spawns weak dudes, thats all.

And more city spawns near the coast that arent necessary for control of the big countries
