Why Is there Racism in Channel?
I dont understand why its condoned.

I'm disturbed by how people are constantly calling people racist remarks and no one has done anything. I personally avoided KLA for a long time because of immature kids.
However it wasnt everyone so I said why not join

However, people like A.A.N.H or Bag_of_D constantly berate myself with racist names because I am asian. Im sorry, but thats not accetable.

I feel also that TiredofExcuses should be stripped of his rank. Why? Simple, he has seen this happening and has not done anything because they are his friends.

Well that sucks imo, I tried to talk to you King about it but your busy and I cant reach you.
Not only do they say racist remarks when they lose, they kick you from "their games"

I probably have no grounds in this, because I wasn't there, but mrzuey is absolutely right. Kick them out of your clan, and your life. If you want to remain in contact, fine, but if there is one thing I hate in this world, its continual Racists. Note how I don't say racists in general because, hell, we're all a little racist. But thats no excuse.

Needless to say, i have never heard a.a.n.h. before this say a racist remark and i am sorry to have heard that he said that but like i said before the apporiate actions have been taking. i also did not see him type these words because i was watching the wall with other friends in the basement such as own-ed who you like... unfortunatlly me kicking them out of the clan wont stop them from remaking another name and getting back in just as easily as before.... if any other player you see spats out racist remarks just post it on here and i will take the appropriate actions

I am done argueing about something i didn't even say over the internet i feel this will just lead to more problems, if you really wanted to to drop whatever i was doing to rush over to my house to kick him from the clan you have to be crazy... (but as soon as i got to my house i kicked him)

Ok, well regarding comments made by clan members to other clan members. If they say something offensive tell me or another shaman. The member should be warned, if they continue then kick them from the clan.

Interesting. A.a.n.h. cannot go uninvestigated. However I have a few contrasting proposals.

1. If u make a racist remark and someone objects then you are forbidden to make that same remark and all offensive remarks voiced against by he who objected your original remark in his presence, for he can not speak for others.

2. However, if you make a remark and you aren't met with opposition, you don't have to be punished. Although, anyone can come back to you and tell you to never say whatever you said again, thus banning you from racial slander in their presence.

3. Being racist about people behind their backs is not banned;however, it will be seen as extremely disrespectful. Disrespect can result in various intangible and indirect consequences.

4. Upon second violation of an individual towards another individual, the offender may be provided amnesty by the subject of the violation. Others may not punish the offender unless the person who was offended wishes so. Punishment may range from suspension to banishment.

5. Those issues that are not included within these set of rules, will be reffered to the executives of the clan.

The reasons are as followed; First, people joke all the time amongst eachother and often with derrogatory terminology. Second, the first amendment on the US Constitution guarantees us the freedom of speech so long as it doesn't harm others.

I don't really care when people joke around who know each other, I'm not the language police. If you are offended by something someone says tell shaman or me. If a shaman says it, tell me. The person should be warned, and then kicked if they don't stop. Once they are out of the clan, not much we can do.

I realize that this doesnt really concern me, but dont people have the right to say whatever they want to say even if its racist?? I mean come on guys first amendment freedom of speech. I'm not condoning racist remarks in anyway because the only thing racist remarks really do is make you seem stupid. If someone is making racist remarks to you just squeltch them or just ignore them because you yourself know that they are not true, and to have low enough selfesteem to not be able to rise above those comments is no excuse to try and punish them for making stupid comments. In the words of Voltaire "I may not agree with what you say but I will fight till death for your right to say it" words are words and people need to have the ability to just ignore them. I'm not pro-racism or anything I'm just pro-speech so just consider this.

Well, they may have that right, but it doesn't mean that they need to be in our clan, or in our channel if they take that right and abuse it. As said previously, your freedom of speech shouldn't harm others, and doesnt mean you can just outright harass someone. There are laws against harassment for a reason.

So if a clan decides hey, this is something we won't tolerate, its that simple. Peace out. Why sit around and keep disrespectful people in the clan just because there is a first amendment? Why should everyone have to squelch morons? If you can't abide by such a simple moral request to have basic respect, too bad. Others who will can join. You can go find a racist clan.

I think people defend free speech for the wrong things. Attacking someone isnt practicing free speech, its practicing being a self esteem deprived kid who hates himself more than he hates the people hes bashing. Besides do YOU really do anything to defend anyone's right to that free speech?

What you need to understand is that there's no such thing as racism.

Racism is just our american way of saying one person hates a group of people for some reason. And you know what? It's been like that since the dawn of the human race. Egyptians didn't like the Jews. Romans didn't like the Barbarians. The Spartans didn't like the Athenians. Neanderthals didn't like the mammoths. Whites didn't (and many still don't, no offense) like blacks, and vice versa. Americans have a disliking towards Mexicans. The british hated americans in the 18th century.

Seriously. Groups of people hating other groups has been in our blood and nature forever. And not to mention this happened over the ****ing internet in a ****ing game channel. If you find what someone says offensive and they said it in a GAME, then I pity you.

I don't condone slanderous remarks, nor do I condone people spouting out racist **** at people. But for reals. Stop whining. Someone you don't know that could be half a world away called your wife a whore. Or you a n..... You shouldn't be complaining about it. **** happens.

Now, on the other hand, had this happened in real life (the guy came up to you and slandered you), then by all means beat the **** out of the guy. But on the internet, nothing means anything. That's why I hate Myspace. People have lost relationships with significant others over their Myspace...

My first reaction was to kick them too because that's a typical reaction. Because racism is seen as very bad, although everyone does it. I do understand, you're upset about it. But why don't you just say: screw you whiteboy i **** you up! Still, as a Clan chieftain I would probably kick the guy, as an example for others that it just is NOT tolerated.
