![]() ![]() ![]() | GUIDES FOR 12K, LK, and RoE. This is just an announcements that it would be good if members could start writing some gameplay guides for RoE, LK, and 12k. Include the basics on how to play and some good strategies. I'm sure they would be very helpful for new players. EDIT: You can also write guides for how to play specific colors, or things like that. |

![]() | Re: GUIDES FOR 12K, LK, and RoE. Basics for 12k are easy: 1. Never get more than one ally, or Foolish will hate you 2. Dont let ur beginning army get crushed cause if it does, ur probably gonna lose the game. DONT ATTACK A BASE WITH YOUR STARTING ARMY 3. Whenever u enter a a place with only one exit, post one guy at the entrance as a lookout so u dont get raped from behind 4. The ambush is you friend, try setting simple traps, they usually work the best. 5. If vassal bases are there, do your best to control all of them, they are points of interest so holding them will mean people will attack you, defend well and u get lots of gold! 6. If you ever get caught from behind dont let your ranged units get raped by the enemy melee units, run away and regroup. 7. Get castles and upgrade troops. 8. Always have fun![br]EDIT: I forgot to mention something so I guess this would be number 9. DON'T HERO TARGET, however using your hero to target an enemy hero is not hero targeting, and is sometimes very useful. |

![]() ![]() | Re: GUIDES FOR 12K, LK, and RoE. 1. Divide you army in groups, for instance make your hero ctrl+1 and the army you get on the beginning ctrl+2 2. Try get an ally, more then one wouldn't be alot of fun, but when you lose feel free to team the sucker 3. Go run around the circle around blue's base, you will probably encounter someone quick. 4. If he's already weakened by another battle, kill him. Feel free to hero target, it's a good tactic although it's kinda happy if someone else uses it against you. 5. When you got 250g buy barracks, never spend the money on somthing else till you got 5/5 food limit. Some guys buy the towers, it's a good idea sometimes, but most of the time it's a waste of money. 6. Always take your hero along, and wait for him to revive if he died since he will be the element that can decide a battle. Try to lvl him up as fast as possible. 7. You can try to free the Wendigos, and get the knights of that Duke, and the zeppelins, they can be very good. ( there is a good chance, other people try the same so you can rape their rangers and totally whipe em out.) When you get air, fight on the same way you did all the time, but do not use your air, spare them somewhere safe until you got like 12 or more. Your ally should do the same. 8. Quik Air Attack; Some bases can be quikly destroyed by air, because of the position of the towers. Those bases are: Gray, LB, Yellow, Green, Red and Brown. Most of the time you only need to kill one tower then concentrate on their base, do not kill rangers who attack your air, target the base! 9. Balista Attack; If you're the strongest, or your team is and you got enough money, try buying some catapults. Then destroy enemy towers with it, it makes it a lot easier. 10. If you're frequently attacked, research defend. Your footman ( when playing red, DG, or Blue of course ) will take and deal less damage. meanwhile your archers will shoot the !%@$ers. 11. This is just a guide, not a walkthrough, also think for yourself. -Don't betray Allies, that's even too low for me ( to teach people in a guide)- ![]() |

Okay, first of all, you need one part heavy melee, one part cavalry, two parts feetmen-like people, one and a half parts magic, and three parts ranged, as well as a hero. that is the optimum ration of soldiers. a big thing to remember is troop organization. you don't need to ctrl group your hero, because you can access them via F1. you need to group your melee first, or the ranged will be unprotected. I reccomend sending your heavy melee, then cavalry, half your melee, then your ranged, right after the magic people. with the heavy melee, send your hero if they're a melee guy, and send them with the ranged, or course, if they're ranged. with the other half of the feetmen, send them last and stop a little bit before the battlefield, so that they can hold off attacks from the rear. if you know that there isn't going to be a surprise attack on the rear, just send these guys with the rest of the melee people. keep the magic people close to the rear if they have a buff or heal, preferably near a source of mana, so that they can make your army even tougher. now tune in to Elvis McElferson's report on ambushes! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hello, my name is Elvis McElferson! If you want to set up the perfect ambush and counterstrike, just follow this guide! First, send a wimpy runner down the path you are defending. Locate the movement and size of the incoming army (if there is one) and then... you set up the ambush! Put some ranged units and some seige behing some sort of barricade or wall. (maybe the item if it exists yet, use the barricade item!) then, use the seige to make a narrow but long indent in the surrounding forest (if there is one) for your melee units and cavalry to hide in. make a little band of footmen as a feint of resistance, wait for the enemy army to pass the holes in the woods, and then pretend to resist as you run back to your barricade which is full of archers. here comes the big moment! unleash the melee horde and rush the weak backside of the enemy army. leave around 12-24 soldiers to defend the pathway from reinforcements. if the armies attacking you arrive from different directions, have your allies do the same thing. the counterstrike will be easy now that the enemy's army is dead, and your soldiers are already in the correct order to attack! (see the above guide to attacking to learn how to set up the army!) That concludes this post! byebye! |
