![]() | [UltF] Some general guidelines I like to use..... First of all, Random. Its boring if you pick the one of three heros every time. Also, you learn the ins and outs of all the heros which really helps when you are up against them. The boots and amulet you get are invaluble during the game. It is a big advantage to be a little faster than your adversary no matter if you are fleeing or attacking. Always get a priest for ams early in the game. If you plan on going mortars, I think its a good idea to get the first human upgrade. It gives your footmen an extra 100 hp(450-550) which makes them more effective as your meat sheild. When things get going, send out you footmen as the trusty meat sheild. Then cast your AoE spell on someone elses fight. If you are on team one, cast on a fight between teams 2 and 3. Its more dangerous than casting from behind your own footmen, but much more lucrative to hit both sides of a line. Don't attack with a melee hero unless you can windwalk or blink. You tend to just get hurt and have to heal. Buy one or two of the +12 items towards the primary attribut of the hero or int if you seem to run out of mana all the time. They are only 500, some agility heros tear up with them Run around to avoid damage, casting spells as fast as you can. Quantity is better than quality. With most of the heroes, its important to use your ultimate as soon as you get it. The first person to get their ultimate off often gets a huge advantage of gold. When you get to level 7, you can farm bases. Some can do it earlier, but every hero can farm at level 7. Just keep track of who still has footmen and about how many. Go to the one with the most and rake in the cash. It is very important not to let units build up in your base. Take a few of them out with your hero for a little cover/meat shield or X-kill them. There is nothing worse than being farmed. Typically, you have to tech to finally kill a base. Although opponents tend to leave when you are 5 levels ahead of them and they have been farmed for 10 minutes, sometimes they hang around. Usually gargoyles are a safe bet, but if your hero can suppress your victims units and heros, mortars kill bases faster. |
