ok i was bored one day of completely owning noobs on ultimate so i decided to give myself a challenge. i wanted to find a way to disprove all those people who say units are worthless by using my hero as little as poosible. i came up with a way to win most of the time if you tech undead. i believe most pros know this so don't say things lick "duh of course noob. i have known that for a while."

ok early on in the game simply save up you money sending units and your hero out to farm (the only time you really use your hero).

once teir one becomes available tech to undead and upgrade frenzy. make sure you do this fast because if you miss this short window of oportunity the enemy heros will get too strong

go around sorrounding enemy heros and killing them and get into battles wit htheir footies for a little extra gold (try to keep a group of 12 devoted to killing heros and preventing them from leveling)

after about 5 upgrades to frenzy and 3-5 to attack and a couple to defense tech to teir 2.

continue to farm off of units but don't tech to teir 3 until you have 6k gold and then tech again to statues (so people can't farm off of the weak skeles)

spend a little more money on attack and defense then send the units out to attack bases

if some bases repel the attack save up for gargs and upgrade their defense for a while.

and that is the end. i know that sometimes this won't work but unless you can add something constructive don't post stuff like "this sux! i can't believe you call this a strategy!"

I use this a lot to tell the truth. But I use my hero to make the money faster. So I really don't use it but you never know. There is sometimes that good player that hangs around without you knowing it.

ya used it a lot although use my hero if he is a tank and if he is support or spellcaster i use a dozen units or so. but this strategy works almost everytime and is kinna boring and shows that undead is pretty overpowered in the game

Heres a better way to do it.

ap keeper of the grave.
main skills are treants and skeles

get a endurance helm as fast as possible. then tech 5-10 in attack.
then go undead and do nothing but frenzy for about 10 times. maybe more.
by this time if you left your hero out there and you are good at keeping an eye on him there will have been no need to send your units out. you will have tons of little ghouls. send them to bases to own. or heros.

you might want to send your hero too. just for the aura. you could even get bone chimes if you like.

then tech up two tiers to those skeleton mages.
own face with them.
then keep on going with whatever you feel like.

but the skeles dies soo fast. Even if you upgrade the speed and health 10 times they still die so fat

but they kill fast as well. all you really have to do is get 12 of em to take out anything moderate

this is a way to win without heros if you want to see how to win with keeper go to the best hero topic and look at my replay. i used a very similar strategy you outlined but don't go to mages. they sux. get to at least statues.

Yeah well as I seen in my experience with players in battlenet is that only three types of people don't use their heros. One is noobs. The second is guys who want the challenge. And third the people who buys golems early in the game and then have money to go to other tiers faster and then pwn with their units because no one was smart enough that if you attack golems with an army of footmen they die pretty easily.

LOL I remember my golem days.
I haven't done that in months, but it was so funny. I killed like 5 heros in like 3 min.

All because they don't get anti-magic shell. One time I got kicked off the map because I did that. Really funny because all I did was get golems and kill every hero without anti-magic shell and after after they all died I got spell breakers and upgraded their defense so much that it took a long time to kill them.

Well I don't mind when people use the customkick but they have to have a good reason behind it like someone has been flaming you for a long time and say bunch of racist names at you with calling you every type of swear. Fortunatly you have to go pretty far for me to use it.

I tell you that what I hate the most is when they are pwning they keep bragging about it and when you're pwning they call it cheating. I don't see the logic in it.

ahh golems... i remember them soo well. When i was a noob to ultf , i once got 12 granite golems and pwned 2 whole teams on tiers 3 and 4. Wish i had saved the replay >

it wasnt easy. my team left me and team 1 kept attking me. i had 2 golems then which held them back and slowly i built up and army of them. it was sooo funny the way they responded to 12 granite golems coming at them,lol
