Signatures are just piece of graphics. I like to think that there are three major parts of a signature. The background, The render(aka the image), and the text. The text should not be big. That is a mistake that many people make and something that hard to do because you don't know what is big until you do it for awhile. If you have Microsoft Paint then I suggest that you get Photoshop which you can do much more with. But if you don't have money. Go to the forums Download second and find GIMP under tools. It's kind of like a weaker version. I never actually saw the difference between photoshop and GIMP but GIMP is free so I'm guessing that there is something about it that makes it free even through it's almost as good as phototshop. Well anyway. Like I said. The text should not be too big and they should be able to be seen without looking like it's the center of the signature. Also something that comes with experience. Most signatures should be around 400x120. They can be larger or smaller. If you make a userbar they should be 350x19-20.

Its in your profile settings, or "Account". To place images use the Image (IMG) tag, and the Link.

Oh. Kind of wondering why it was in the tech help forums instead of the graphics forums. I think I'm on the boarder of having ADHD. Enough to be somewhat sane but not enough for people to say I'm sane.

What I do is find a picture on the internet. Right-click it. Then copy. Then open a graphic program and then paste.

Find your image and mess with it in MS Paint or what other image tools you have.

When you are done find a image uploading host, like www.imageshack.us, and upload the image there.

Now you should recive a 'url' link, it could look like this; http://img297.imageshack.us/img297/991/4r81eszxm8.gif, then go to your profile under 'Forum Profile Information' to the bottom and copy a paste this;
And press update profile.
Now you should be able to see your signature.
