[Tutorial] Boarder lines

One thing I rarely see is the signatures lack boarder lines. Which may not be a whole lot but only because pollama uses a darker theme which makes up for it. but on a light theme you should have a boarder. This was made for GIMP but you should be able to do everything on PhotoShop or any program more advance then GIMP.

-First in your image create a new layer.
-Second make sure that your fore-color is black. The back color doesn't really matter. You can use another color if you want. But black usually fits well with may images.
-Then go to edit ->Stroke selection.
-Then click stroke and your done. The boarder will be too thin to see on GIMP but will show up nicely when it's uploaded.

The second way to make a nice boarder is a faster way but a way I don't use.

-Like last time make a new layer for your image.
-Then fill your layer with black. Then go to selections -> shrink.
-Then shrink it by 1 pix and then go to edit -> clear.
-Now you have a nice boarder.

The third way isn't has easy as the other two. Still pretty easy through.

-Click on the rectangle selection tool. Then make a 6 pix tall boarder on top. And the same thing on bottom.

I use this boarder but it leaves your sides without a boarder.

Sorry I couldn't add pictures but for some strange reason webshots images doesn't show up well. Imageshack takes too much time. And I like to keep PhotoBucket free for my real graphics. So sorry. I still think it's easy to understand but tell me if there is any unclear parts.

Eh. You can use a white border if you want it to show.

Like I said above. You can pick any color you want. I just use black because if fits well with almost any graphics.
