A jalapeño pepper grown in Mexico and stored at Texas border town warehouse has tested positive for the same rare strain of salmonella that has confounded federal disease investigators for nearly two months.

The test on the hot pepper was the first to find the germ on any type of produce item since state and federal health authorities first warned of the stomach bug on June 3. As a result, the Food and Drug Administration issued an advisory today for consumers to avoid eating uncooked jalapeños from any source - another potential blow to California, which produces about $45 million worth of chile peppers annually.

There are a lot of people who goes crazy over every medical illness that goes on the news. Besides, I grow peppers in my mother's garden. It's not jalapenos, it's like Serapenos or something like that. It's suppose to be much hotter than regular jalapenos.

Did you know that eating spicy food boosts your metabolism so you burn more calories? Although it's not anything that will show any difference in your weight. Green Tea also helps.

Yes.

I've eaten homemade food, and I'm not American, so I've noticed that. Go to India and eat Chinese food. =), It isn't loaded with sugar and crap, and its spicy.

What? Cookie is Indian? WTF. And Piggy is Spanish? ****. That leaves the only people I know who are american is Stubby. Dunno about MrOrange though. Also, I haven't been anywhere near another country, so all I know food-wise is Irish, English and relatively tame Chinese foods.
