Vista sucks period. It has a few good points, which Apple belives were stolen from them (and they're probably right), but the bad outweighs the good, at this point in time. Until they get all the bugs worked out, I'm sticking with XP.

Simply put, I doubt many pc users who don't just sit around doing ONLY work, people that also have MMORPGs, or really any good pc game, will switch to Mac. Things have been made excusively for just PCs for a long time, and whether or not Mac is better won't matter if PCs still offer me the chance to have WoW + exp, Wc3 + exp, Civ4 +2exp, D2 +exp, the entire "Sim" franchise, emulators, and still room to do any work I need to do, without loading much slower than when I got it (except for when I have spyware). XP is still good, the reason Vista is so "terrible" isn't just because it's not-so-great, but also because 98 blew 95 out of the water, and XP did the same to 98, Vista didn't blow XP out of the water so it seems much much worse by comparison.

This article is a joke, with the help of the leaning to universal architecture it is easier to run shells, or, if you needed to game, you can install windows onto its own partition on a mac and run the os from within the mac environment, or just use a windows shell like wine, also, many of the things he listed in the article have an open source alternative that is overall better because it actually is updated. Is Vista a good operating system? I would say no, does it work? Sometimes, it does have some advantages over OSX but most of them will probably blur as we step closer and closer to universal architecture. And once that happens we will probably have things that run on all operating systems by default because it is cheaper and will make more money.

LOL! You install Windows on a partition of a Mac HD? So why don't you just save the money and just buy a Windows machine from the beginning, I swear it will be cheaper. Windows is update every Thursday and more often if you have Windows Defender.
OSX have a far way to go yet. Delete a system file? Your ****ed. Can't return it. And "universal architecture"?! They can't even run fricking executables, nor have Apples made a convector for it. I mean the first step to "universal architecture" would be able to run more programs <.<

XP > Vista, no doubt but Vista doesn't suck. It safe and advanced core system code. The problem that hardware that most people have can't follow up to Vista which is why it is claimed as bad. Look at 98. It took almost the double of what 95 required of hardware. Why? Upgraded, that's why.
