Hi. I'm soloing through 0.8.7.9 right now... before I waste my time, is Omega Weapon available in 0.8.7.9? Or is it only available in the extremely hard to find 0.8.8.1? I can't even find it in this site! : (


If Omega weapon is not available in 0.8.7.9, then I will have to start all over in 0.8.7.9...

Does "Stop" work on Omega Weapon?
Does Geomancer's disarm work on Omega weapon?
Does Knight's speed break work on Omega weapon?
Does Oracle's "Blind" work on Omega Weapon?

in fact, does any % based spells work? "slow" etc etc...

Does poison sword, of thief, work?

What spells ARE effective?

i know that the most status effects not really affected ultima weapon, they disappeared very fast, no full second. skills with a fixed time, like the poisen knife from the thief should work.

OMG

I finally defeated Omega Weapon, solo, on hard level!


I did the "zergling rush" approach of squires.

With all the artifacts for each equipment slot (except omega proof), I stocked up on all elixirs.

I then got squire to lvl 120, gave him all artifacts, 1 elixir, then attacked. As he attacked, gave him squire frenzy. As soon as he got out of Omega blast, Wished him-back to full health. After next omega blast, gave him elixir. Then after next omega blast, Wished again, then finally death.

Each time I took off like 3% of his health total.


How, you say? Most of it was thanks to squire's "Reflect" ability. Each time Omega weapon hit the squire, it got hit back with 40% of its own attack! XD

Man. It took so long. Also because of Omega's insane health regen. I must've zerged it like 300 times. But I finally killed it.

It's really too bad that I can't carry more than one Omega proof...

lvl 120 prophet
omega proof
absorber
robe of the magi (for the 300% mana regen, is there any better robe out there?)
Masamune (higher crit rate than ultima weapon)
Grand helmet


vs Omega weapon, Very Hard difficulty.




Everything worked fine until I cast divine intervention.

I died. Immediately. Even though I had nearly half my mana and hp left. WTF?

I made sure to test again. It was repeatable...

What happened?

I don't want to post my code for fear of other people stealing. However, I would like to know why this happened... for a Prophet with above setup and working divine intervention must be nearly invincible.

yeah very nice story ungregistered one, but we all know that there's no way that counter will work on omega weapon because his attack type is ranged, and counter only works when the attacker is melee .

Apparently there is, or else people wouldn't have Proof. This thread is about soloing.. But I suggest this.. 2 monk, 6 prophet. First monk tanks omega, when he dies, 2nd monk takes over (both use avatar soon as omega attacks them). All while the prophets use divine intervention.

No, all debuffs are taken off of Omega weapon within 1 second of them getting on him.

i guess there's no chance of doing it with just 1 or 2 people. Cause in US West it's hard to find any high lvls to play with. Finding 7 other people maybe just as big a challenge as defeating omega.

i made it!

i finally defeated Omega Weapon!the "Zergling Rush" really works,i recommend it to everyone who doesn't have Omega Proof yet.

it was really weird,because on the first time i died,OW started to follow me to Kalm(it even got all the way to Guardia Forest,close to the city gate),which made my life much easier,because i didn't have to walk all that distance to fight OW over and over again.in the end,it went down to the might of the Respawning Squire XD


and not being able to equip six Omega Proofs makes me a bit sad

how much hp did you need to survive the first omega blast?

that's tough,i'm not really sure.i am going to take a guess and say you need about 50k hp,because i have everybody mastered and one omega blast took a good(and i mean GOOD) chunk of my hp.but you HAVE to be lvl 120,and you HAVE to have all artifacts on you,and on acessories,pick the one who gives the most hp.damage is not important here,because Omega Weapon is essencially going to kill itself.and stock up on elixirs before doing anything against OW,because you're going to need them.

and it's important to notice that sometimes OW will just use several spells in a row,not meleeing you once,and other times it will just use one omega blast and then melee you until you die,so you will have to be patient...

You were right on the mark. Its about 42k. Right now i have about 5 characters ultimate mastered. And my squire has about 50k hp and i'm not able to survive long enough to do the 'zerg' approach. How much HP did you have to start with and how did you get that much HP? The other thing is, how many elixirs do you need? I complete the elixir quest at the start and leave the game on for 3 hours and i can purchase about 6 elixirs total. Feels like it comes out once every 30 min. Something tell me 6 elixirs won't be enough. How many elixirs did you need and how did you get that many? Thx for your replies and help so far

well,just get your Squire and everybody else to lvl 120.this should give you enough hp...


about the elixirs,i only used it twice.after that i got too bored to wait for the elixirs to come out,and instead of going Wish-->Elixir-->Wish-->dead(XD),i just kept using wish only once.it is less effective than using elixirs to be able to use Wish twice,but the time you save by not waiting elixirs to become avaliable more than makes up for it,IMO...

i'm now at 13 ultimate masters (64k hp for squire) and i always attempt at omega before i exit the game. Yet i don't seem to be able to do any damage at all to omega. Are you sure the reflect ability works against him b/c when i click on omega it says his attack type is ranged 200. and the squire's skill info says it returns 40% of melee dmg only. Btw i'm playing v0.8.7.9 would that make a difference? cuz i notice in the previous msg someone mentions something about this as well.

it's because his HP is so freaking big.it says 200 range,but it still count as melee.trust me,i did it on 0.8.7.9,and it worked just fine.
