![]() | Will 0.8.9 be completed? I think 0.8.8 came out 10 or 11 months ago, and 0.8.9 has been promised for at least 7 or 8 months. I haven't played in about 5 months because if I got any more levels, I'd have to get rid of essentially all my gold in order to have a manageable save code. I'm getting sick of waiting. Will 0.8.9 be here by... say... July 1st? |

I'm the trigger guy, cleaning up and trying to make the map run more smoothly. The problem is just that I'm 17 and do have a real life with collage and stuff. And collage takes most of my free time. I would love to work more on the map but I simply won't fail the collage for a WC3 map. Anyway you might want to know what I have done so far and what I'm going to do. First of all I have redone the class changing system. Instead of having a corner of the map holding all the hero's and class, I have made a trigger system that stores that in the memory so the corner is now free to be "mapped" by Titan. No idea what he would like to do with this corner. Next up is the save system. Yeah some big bugs with it. I'm will try to remove some of those bugs and see if I can make the load code smaller, but let us just see what will come out of it. I'm sorry that I'm holding back the map for so long, but it takes a great amount of time to fix this. Also lot of small triggers have been optimized. 2 weeks from this post, I will have more time and hopeful be done with all the small things and the HeroClassSystem for next version. No need to pity me. I have done this to myself and I want to. I love to figure out new ways to trigger this map, it just that a day don't have no more then 24 hours then I could use 30 . |

| Re: Will 0.8.9 be completed? Which triggers cause the map to be unable to be loaded from a save file? Also, how much of it is dynamic? Dota took ages to load in ancient times before all the hero codes were removed from startup and made dynamic. |

When I'm done you will be able to save with single player and never will be need to use the save function. Of course will that mean you would have two characters. One for online gaming and one for single player gaming, which you can cheat with to test out things if you want. Dynamic is the thing I want for this map. Most of it right now is based of pre-placed stuff and that is need to be moved to triggers. An example would be the bosses. All the bosses is preplaced, we just hide them as we see. That too will be moved into the triggers. I also see some of the terrain being moved over to the triggers but let us see how it goes from there. Another example could be this topic. The Teleport System does everything those 33 triggers could do in one trigger! Also it allows more places as long it have a region to go to. Optimized for the future .Sorry for a late reply.
