Weapon Comparisson

Sorry if there is already a topic about it, but I looked the first pages of the forum and didn't find anything related.

Here is my question, what do you prefere? Masamune or Ultimate Weapon (for fighters)? and the shop ultima staff (sorry, forgot the name) or Ultimate Weapon (for mages)?

Because, for fighters, the +stats/dmg of ultimate are great, but the higher crit of masamune is also great...

As for the mages, I believe it is faster to lvl up with the Ultimate weapon, because of higher dmg/stats, but on the other hand, I think the staff is better, because of ultima spell, but I haven't really tried it...

So, what do you people think about each weapon for fighter and for mage?

When I'm playing Samurai i definetelly prefer using Masamune because of the critic. When you have all classes mastered then using masamune gives u a lot more damage when critic occurs then when you use ultimate weapon.

i have a ninja lvl 70+ and i fought hashmalum solo, masamune simply is no use for a fighter with the infamous blind spell casted on you so i bought the dragon wand(ultima staff?) and hit him every chance i got since he uses curaga every now and then.
BTW, my accessory was the hood that has evasion cheap but very handy indeed. i have the skull lying on the ground.

Until you have a few ultimate masters Ultima should be pretty incredible. It helps a ton for leveling. Once you are maxxed out, I have found the highest damage potential is reached with Masa/Deathskull. Best tanking potential (see also armor) with Ultima/Grievv

Melee class = Masamune and mages = Ultima weapon its as simple as that :P

anyways would be cool if the ultima weapon gave 4x crit so it was somewhat worth killing Ultima

And maybe make him harder?? just a suggestion i came up with :P
