Alternate hero Ideas for Broken Alliances.

As some of you may know from the BA ideas thread, these heroes are for people to pick. that way, people can have a different hero, or stick with the normal heroes. i call it "army fitting heroes." Each hero listed here will be able to be picked (optionally) instead of it's counterpart that that color normally gets.

Red- Border Commander of Cel Danel - Mauragetus
Model:Footman

ability ideas: bash/war stomp/Legacy (using the ancient magic of the border wall, he rezzes 1 unit)/Inspire (uber buffs a unit of choice)

Ultimate: Defense planning- builds a high-hp wall at a location. maximum: 3 at a time. (then 5)


Blue- Guardian of the Tower - (p)Aul Delfino
Model: larger militia (with heroglow?)

ability ideas:Battle Plans (large AOE with a small bonus to attack/defense)/Summon Militia (2/4/6?)/Devotion Aura/Intimidate (all nearby enemies get -5/-10/-15 attack)

Ultimate: Reinforce- Blows his trusty horn, allowing him to warp innumerable amounts of soldiers to him. this spell only affects blue units. (new use for your beastly horde that can barely move?)

Teal- Wendigo Tamer - Woh Toskold
Model:Ice Troll Chieftain

ability ideas: Frost nova/Campfire healing ward, lasts 30 secs. freezes movement of those affected)/Frost Beasts (troll,wolf,Wendigo, etc, getting more powerful)/Ice Magic (anti-magic shell)

Ultimate:Affinity of Frost (transform into wendigo, gain hp, get a passive "freeze" skill (slows enemies) and gains attack)


Purple- Priest Lord - Erestor Culnámo
Model: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ](it's a dwarf, but who says elves can't have a dwarf on their side?)

ability ideas:Holy Light (now even better, with regen on target for short times!)/Priestly Aura(increases damage of all nearby priests by a lot)/Holy Missile (ranged stun, like firebolt but better)/Mana Shield

Ultimate:Holy Storm- balls of golden light fall out of the sky and hit all nearby allies. (a starfall that heals instead of hurts) leveling increases AOE and amount healed.

Green- Forest Knight - Silinde the Odd
Model:Huntress (melee)

ability ideas:stealth (each level allows more hiding. 1/2/3=night 4=both)/Nature aura (brilliance aura for hp and mana)/tree affinity (cast onto a tree to make selinde gain armor temporarily (use eat tree!))/Forest ritual (summons 2/3/4/5 dryads)

Ultimate:Nature's vengeance (MASS ENTANGLING ROOTS!!!)


Light Blue- Assassin Chief - Wrukaog
Model:Blademaster

ability ideas:Critical Strike/Hex (AOE polymorph into sticks?)/fan of knives/hamstring (freezes an enemy and does lots of damage)

Ultimate:Blood ritual (Ultra bladestorm, only nearby enemies freeze and the hero slowly dies over the course of the spell. no effect on buildings)


Pink- Death Rider - Baron Shredgore
Model: Death Knight

ability ideas:vamp aura/Fear aura (neg devo aura onto enemies)/Mana Burn/Death Ray (chain lightning, only DEADlier)

Ultimate:Corpse Explode -All nearby corpses explode, causing devastation to enemies. (optional: if nearby undead are hit, they gain hp)

Dark Green- Centaur Chief - Stahlyin
Model:Centaur Khan

ability ideas:Axe throw (high damage ranged attack)/War Drums (upgradeable) /War Hooves (increases nearby units' speed.)/Talisman (uses a talisman to become invulnerable and do more damage for short periods of time)

Ultimate:Stampede (with centaur)


Brown- Skeletal Bowman - Rattlebow
Model:Skeletal Marksman

ability ideas: envenomed arrows (duh)/Death Coil/flaming arrow (lights enemy on fire and does 3x damage)/evasion (hard to hit something with no flesh!)

Ultimate:Multishot (to multi units) (shoots more than once per attack, level 1=2 shots level 2=3 shots)

Orange- High Shaman - Fhuli Bugeater
Model: Shaman

ability ideas: Inferno (AOE firebolt)/Sacrifice (kills an ally and gives you an item that does damage to an enemy equivalent to the dead unit's hp)/Magic Hands (normal attack slows enemies a little)/Anti-regen aura (obviously just enough to counter another hero's regeneration aura)

Ultimate: Blood Frenzy (all nearby allies get 2x attack speed and 50% vamp for 10/20 seconds)


Gray- Dwarven Defense Mech - Goud Morrin
Model:siege tank

ability ideas: Defense Mechanism (stops the mech from moving and increases damage while decreasing range)/Repair Crew (your onboard crew heals you faster)/Impale (only it moves forward instead of using spikes?)/Armor Piercing Rounds (bonus damage vs. heavy armored units)

Ultimate: Mortar Shot (rains high powered mortars onto a small area. may destroy walls (not buildings)


Yellow- Tax Collector (or Poosh Industries Rep.)- Elerosse Oronar (or Mongo Bumbleroot)
Model:elf emissary (or brigand)

ability ideas: Extortion (for each kill, starting at 2g, Elerosse gets extra gold for each of his kills. Increases by 1 every level)/razor coins (thunder clap with sharpened pennies instead of shockwaves)/wealth aura (all nearby allies get more hp because they're conceited)/Bodyguard (sends in the crazy berserk government agents to protect him)

Ultimate: Every Man has a Price (Charms two enemy units permanently. upgrades involve more enemies charmed)


There we go! by the time King Leopold get's back, let's try to have these balanced so that he might be able to implement them later on!

for yellows hero charm is tft, and fan of knives is also tft

well, i think the charm could be a fixed by a trigger spell that just changes the user's owner. Got any ideas for what we could replace fan of knives with?

just use the hammer clap skill thing, and get rid of some of the animation and add coins in

if we can come up with something else other than vamp aura for pinks hero, cause 2 auras may make him a lil overpowered. cause those 2 would cause devestation together.

king stubby sorry but i got bad news....

we tryed getting him 2 make more heros for ba long ago but king said it was 2 much work 2 add 12 new heros. That most likly means that u wont get this 2 be added in ba ever or at lest not any time soon sadly. maybe in 1.05? but thats not soon and i am 90% sure hes going 2 sc2 when it comes out making the dead line like 5 mouths?

I had suggested, previously, instead of 12 whole heros.. Maybe making an additional 3 or so.. This would allow when random hero mode is picked, to have a possibility of getting one of the three new heros. (Which would of course mean, not every game will have every hero, which adds more variety)

I had orginally thought have 3 heroes per color, 1 for each base and you pick the one you want. Cause a tauren hero for a player with 50 ogres makes no sense.

I'm getting tired of playing broken alliances, but i like to host it for friends and people...

I was wondering if you could add an observation selection, so instead of playing you could watch. But, i dont know how that would work out... thats what i would like though.

I felt like reviving this because these are such win ideas, Stubby you're awesome. And because there's been so much talk of 12 new heroes, yet not much talk about this post. I fully support King using all these heroes posted, maybe with a few changes. Especially the wendigo hero, it's WIN.
