hi there long time player of the map and first time poster.

While i'll be the first to admit i'm not the best player of the map nor the most experienced I would like to say that it seems that ents are a little too strong currently.

While it is true they cost a lot of resources to train, you get more than what you pay for.

A unit with base hp of 1300 and seige damage is a bit crazy. I have played many games where i have been defeated by nothing but ents. Perhaps it is just me not countering them efficiently but they seem out of lline at the moment.

they need a hp nerf or price hike or damage type changing imo to make them more balanced., but does anyone have any suggestions or comments?

I personally would like to see something more unique between the 2. Like regular ents maybe being better stats with higher hp regen. While corrupted ents might be weaker, but toss a disease cloud on them and faster attack rate.

well they arent completley the same now, ents have the stone throw ability

I wouldn't suggest changing damage types.. The siege damage gives them both a strength and a weakness. They can beat the heck out of a building, but can't destroy, say, ranged units as easily. They are also giant wood constructs, though, so I would suggest giving them Fortified armor, and thus making them very weak to siege, giving them a large counter.

fortified armor would make them weak to siege and strong to everything else

yes the rock throw hits buildings on purpose

so they can squishy things like in Isengard! and i think that instead of throwing ROCKS they pick up a nearby unit (anything) and throw IT! i guess it could be based on tree club or whatever it's called. it'd be hard but soooo cool!

i think ents are fine as is truthfully, they are not good late game and i dont think ive ever actually been defeated by em

Theoretically, giving the ents fortified armor would make them weak against each other... If I think up any more pretty useless comments, I'll be sure to post those as well!

You also have the issue of turning BA into TFT by using that spell, and leopold wouldn't want that now, would he >.>

to clarify my points slightly:

I am a public games player and to many of us. it is rather disheartening when these ents walk into bases with large hp and can trash towers and buildings too quickly.

Maybe the issue is with player mindsets but since that is not likely to change i think something needs to change.

At higher levels of play they may be fine, but for beginers it can ruin gameplay quite severly and you wouldn't want to drive new players away.

Imo a hp nerf or armour type nerf would be suficient.

well a big tree walks up to a orc tower then graps the wood leg and rips it off then the towers fall and is now destoryed. Why would it not be like that?

well ents starting armor is 1, it can't really go much lower than that, i dunno

I dont think this needs changed. It would be just as easy to buy catapults and lame bases if needed. Next to no one does it, so its not complained about as often.
