how about adding in a feature that involves having a unit standing on a wall in order to fire wall mounted ballistae placed upon the length of the walls.

How about wall that can be destoryed yet walk on them. You can do this by using a brige then change the model/image of the briage into a wall and have a trigger to remove it when attacked by siege or w/e.

I would not like to see a hero defence game, those are to limated. I would like there to be heros, maybe item sets too but weak not over powered.

Quests be and missions for lvls be nice too. A good defence game that has this is Dynasty battle but i cant find it on epic war and i deleted most my maps.

So have it so there are different races/types of units you are. Like maybe you could be only archers when your team mights might be a tower biulder, melee troops. Or make it so that they have better/more of one type of troop. Then have a tech tree for the races too.

do you want a portal as the goal for the attackers or a person to defend? or something completely new?

well i guessing by "castle" it could mean king/center biulding or just till every one dies. Only time i seen portals used is in TDs

Must agree with shocker. Please no hero defense game... It's much more fun having different troops combinations to experiment with, than just a hero and tome.

Yea, I know. You need heroes, but just don't make them play a huge role. Force the player to depend on soldiers.

Well is it gona be like 100% like that because that maps kinda borring. You need a bigger castle/fort. Also when siege weapons get to a point the wall is destoyed or gets a hole in it so u fall back deeper into the castle/fort.

what about if there was an actual little village surrounding or inside the castle, with some guard towers that you could put archers in? Extra line of defense!

ya a town would be nice

far out scout/gaurd towers
weak wood wall, cant stand on
town/village
weak stone wal, can stand on
a river/mote
a huge complax stone wall system for the last line of def

then in the very middle with the king on top, a gigantic invulnerable tower that can be stood upon, but enemies can go up too?
