Seems that people are unaware of a few functions around these boards since we switch to vB from SMF.

1. Reputation
   Reputation is a way to show either this user have been contributing to the community or just being a troll.
   
   
   
   People help you? Give them some + reputation. Trolling you? Give them some - reputation.
   .
2. Report
   Find a post that is clearly just spam? Completely irrelevant to the topic? Not following the rules?
   
   
   
   People report the post then! Mods and admins can't go through every board and check every single post. Help PoLlama staff out.

Reputation is kinda useless if you can't see how much somebody has isn't it?

Reputation is much better then Karma. Karma, you get a new number everytime someone +karma you. So someone brags when they have 1 more karma then another person. But for rep, it's done with green bars. So you don't get to brag until you get about 50 more rep then another person because you need about that much to get another bar I believe. But at the same time the more green bars you have the more reputation you can give. Like a person with maxed out reputation points can give a total of 10 reputation points everytime they +rep someone. So in other words, these guys are the ones you want to suck up to.

But at the same time, admins can see the reputation comments and we can undo anything that we believe was unjust. Like someone -rep someone because they can't play this one map every well.

In the example of green bars look at my profile. I set mine to a 100 rep. Of course I don't care about reputation at all. But at the same time I won't like it when someone -reps me or not good reason.

Yes, you got a point there, but the rep system is so underused that it will be like impossible to get any more reputation.. Unless of course everybody starts spamming reputation for fun.. People just don't think about it (yet) when someone helps or brings up a good idea.

It might be better if I do it. I believe that admins don't have the +rep or -rep limit that almost everyone else has. But at the same time it's bad because until people start getting more rep, it can't be spread.

I don't know the exact defination but it's pretty much someone who likes to pick fights with others and give people a hard time.

Troll is used for people with no life besides trying to make other people unhappy.
Example; User joins PoLlama, user starts posing racists and nasty comments, Mr. Zero takes out his banhammer and ends the user miserable life.

And that is pretty much a troll's life cycle. They simple exists to piss off other people.

Just know that you can only give or take 1 rep at a time. I can give or take 22 at a time.

The thing with rep is if someone does something bad, a lot of people will -rep them for that one post. So you have to be careful. - 1 rep may not seem like much but if 50 people did it them that's losing 50 rep. And if rep spreads then it would be almost 100 or more rep. But at the same time if you do something good them you could get almost 100 or more rep.
