We 'Jumped the Gun'.

Switching over to vBulletin was much harder than I anticipated.

Because of this, I have reverted the forum back to SMF temporarily, and will re-attempt the switch in about a week or less. Please continue as if yesterday never happened(except for below)

IN THE MEANWHILE, please make sure your e-mail is valid! The password reset problem is still going to happen. I have enabled E-MAIL VALIDATION on both registrations and e-mail changing for now to help!

How about.... we find a few themes and mods for VBulletin before switching? the basic forum for it is well... basic.

Don't be so spoiled stubby. PoLlama as a SMF forum spent the first few months with it's default theme. So when we move back again, I think most of us will be able to handle a few days.

Um.... I just wan't to know... why don't you just Keep normal pollama running fully and make a link so you can just jump between the two with different passwords...

I guess MrApples wanted to work on the the new forums without having to worry about problems with members' problems. But only MrApples would truly knows.

shadow why are u switching over to MrOrange? well any way give him some time id rather post on this one fora few days and then when the new one is ready it will be much more worth it so we can see all of the progress in one final swoop instead of day by day. also im pretty sure the credits from the shop are not going to be switched over so do we like write down how much we had or something like that so we can have them over there?

Long story short, there was a time when I was more stupid then Panther and less mature then the trio Ultimate Members and I thought it would be funny to call myself MrOrange because MrApples once made a topic saying how Apples are better then Oranges. But later Titan told me that it wasn't funny so I was able to change my displayed name to ShadowofDarkness. When we switch over there is no display name so I was forced to switch back to MrOrange. And if MrApples lets me I might keep it. Just as a fun joke.

But that's another story. The main thing is I hope that MrApples won't set the url PoLlama.com to link that the VBulletin forum until after most things are set up.

yes but i quote from mr apples is that "the shop may not be important now but it will be" so personally id like to keep them because ive been saving them for that so called important thing. (i got 4700 now) o and i see about the Mrorange thing. thankx for clarifying.

vBulletin has issues with attachments. It also had problems with my avatar, and the general look was unpleasant. I vote for it staying as is. I don't see why the forum needs to move in the first place.

The honest truth is that yes MrApples did get the full potential out of this forum. Don't compare a customized SMF forum with a newly installed VBulletin forum. Because 9/10 times the custom one will be better until the other one is customized. VBulletin has many more themes and mods that can be installed. Also it has less problems that you see happen in this forum. The problem is that an avatar reducer was not added or was not there. That was his original avatar size. If I was him I would personally crop the image. The general look is the default theme. Just like PoLlama has the SMF default theme. And the problem with passwords and attachments is not VBulletin's fault. It is SMF fault.

Ask any person who is smart in this type of topic. They would probably call MrApples and idiot for not doing it sooner.

Once Apples gets a financial plan, and once all the features are setup, then minor things can be set in (Themes, Mods, etc).
