Have a project? Have a clan? Then you need a forum.

Yes it's true, every good project and clan needs their own forum. It’s like a multi-dimensional conversation where people can talk and be heard at any time they want, and even improve upon what others say, or show their wrong. If you have a project/clan, you absolutely need a forum, it’s the truth, MSN/AIM and Bnet just don't cut it.

But where to get a forum? You could start your own, but even on a free host, but that can be expensive and very time consuming if you actually want an OK one. And, after spending all that, there's a good chance your forum will go absolutely nowhere, it is extremely difficult to start up a forum, especially on a limited topic. Don't be optimistic.

*You have full control over everything within your board. However, the position of your board on the list depends on how active your forum is.

**This is somewhat of a 'pain in the ass' for us to do, so we require that you have an active forum before granting you a Custom Header/Footer. We need to create a new theme(just for that), and edit it, and hope it works correctly if you need to know.

Requirements
Well this deal is too good to be true, there must be some catch. Well there is no catch, but we do have some requirements.

• Your project is stable, can be played on battle.net. Betas are OK.
• Your project is not a complete rip-off.
• We like your project. Or we see potential for it to do well. If you have faith in your project this shouldn't be a problem.

Yes well that’s it, nothing hard at all. And even if your project does not meet these requirements, you may still have a forum in the "More Projects" section, and apply for a front-page forum when you’re ready.

As for Clans, there really is no requirement, except that you actually get your members to use your forum.


How to Sign Up.
Send a PM to MrApples or start a new topic in Site Discussion with a descriptive title(so the admins can find you). Include all of the following...

• Whether or not you want your project to be live or on the main list. Or if it is a clan.
• The name of your project as the board is to be named.
• All the moderators(must be signed up).
• What features you would like/are interested in.(Such as blocks).
• What your project is like, and why you feel you should have a forum on PoLlama

Easy enough. Remember this applies to all our current and future projects. If you don't have any of the above and want it, just request it from an Administrator.

Well since you dared me, it was down yesterday for a bit and I couldn't get into any of the topics, and it was down like a week ago or something, so ya, I won the dare.

if you read the context of the the dare this whole thing is out to people who want to make a new map here or clan here. I think pollama is a great way to get new maps, its fun to try the new ones that get hosted here and somtimes you get in to them because the maps are about quality here so they are usaully really good.

The reason why it was down is because MrApples is trying to upgrade the site. Name one good site that doesn't do this.

That was different as I was modifying the code trying to give you fools a topic rating system. I'm talking actual server down. We also upgraded from 1.1.2 to 1.1.3, that was easier

And to our long time members, that applies to since we changed hosts about 2 months ago.
