Some Changes to the Forums

Three changes have been made to the forums.

1. Ultimate Membership, basically like a sub-global. Now a select group of members will be given "Ultimate Membership", named after our first and so far most successful project, Ultimate Footmen. Ultimate Members are given access to a private forum, and are also given full mod privileges over all their topics. There are some moral restrictions to this, see the forum for more info those of you who were selected.

To become a Ultimate Member you must be a regular, have been here for 3 months, and also accepted by a Admin review(we look over your history/posts)

2. PoLlama 'Friends', all our 'Partners', or those who have a forum with us. This has nothing to do with their history or their posting, but simply they have be given a forum at our site. They are given access to a private forum(seperate from ultimate members), and of course have all the powers a PoLlama Partner has.

3. No More Recent Topics, the recent topics block has been hidden. We want people to start making use of other ways to navigate the forum, such as 'Unread replies to your posts', or 'Search', or actually clicking on boards.

This is not necessarily permanent, were just giving it a try.

If anyone is having trouble viewing the forum, particularly those in the new groups, please let me know here. Feel free to complain about the recent topics missing, maybe you can change our minds .

I find using the unread under your "User" on the left side a great way to check up on new posts.

By having been here 3 months to you mean 3 months worth of time spent on this site, or 3 months have passed since you became a member? Also do you apply for this status, or do you wait for someone to come to you?

No one on this forum has been here for three months worth of time. The most time spent is about 10 whole days worth. Actually about 11 days because MrApples only needs one more hour to do that.

We will tell you, don't go asking for it.

And its more then just the requirements, we review whether or not you seem capable of modding your own threads, and if you have contributed any, etc.

Yebeth in case you didn't notice we have given you Ult Member already . Really all those who were candidates for global mod have been given it as of now.

The karma log was removed last time I upgraded the forum, that was actually a mod and this theme is very hard to get the mods to work with.

Another change, only those with 250+ posts may now change karma. This was to prevent the -karma spamming that has been going around.

ya know, i don't think it's just the lower posting people anymore. I lose 1-2 karma a day. If you notice, on monday i had TEN karma. Now i only have 4! :cry: :cry: :cry:

I just remember. Hyper. You only have 7 karma. The news guy should always have 8 or more karma. Because without you. I would not even read the news at all and I would always wonder what's going on in the world. Then I would be forced to yahoo news.

i haven't seen the yahoo homepage in over three months... and i even use their mail system.
