Ultimate Footmen Gold Code

About a month or so ago, VG_Emblem announced that he would spread the gold code just for kicks, and so people would be forced to play his crap "1.00". I at the time, did not even know the gold code worked, but after testing the bug, it does. He actually went through with his plans, so to be fair, I am releasing the gold code to everyone who receives this letter, and encourage you all to spread it further.

The gold code is " owns!!1!". Without the quotes of course. There is a space, and a one.

The idea was that you would have to type the name of your hero, and then what I gave above. People would be asked to type it in private, but some would do it in All anyway, thus this way everyone would be thrown off. The gold code was meant to reward people who helped the development of the map, but the community had decided to not go through with, thus we never 'fixed' it as at the time I had thought it to be broken completely.

I hope to release the real new version of Ultimate Footmen soon, however as things have been going, no guarantees. Just because 1.00 is newer, doesn't mean its better, or even intended as.

I am sorry about this though. We could have kept the gold code under wraps if VG didn't have to be his *******-self. I actually thought it was gone though until recently, so I didn't lie to ya.

ahhh... now i get i t why whenever i play footmen these days everyone keeps saying [hero] owns. my ally was like bishop owns and im like no he doesnt.

Strange. Up until now I always thought -applesnackes was the code. OH well. I really could care less. Now when we pwn. We can say. "Lol you used the gold cheat but I still pwned you." Well anway. 1.00 had some new things but it was way too much like .79. And still in my mind I believe that it would have been good for a version but not good enough to jump .21 and out of beta.

You got no proves. Until you show me a replay or alike. Just becuase a message pop-ups and say 'Joo ar3 the leet, h3re 500 g!' does not mean you get the gold.
Plus did you notice the code is not the same?

Still one thing I don't get is why you released it? Does it not give Ultimate Footmen a bad reputation?

People already knows what the gold code is. So that makes it unfair. But if everyone knows then it's fair.

as it were only about 5 or 6 people knew the code.

apples emblem myself and lunar diviner. and i believe actually that slinger knew it and titan did.

the thing is none of us use it.

we all have other methods of winning that the use of 500 extra gold was pointless.

and you do not have to type your hero's name in front of it either. just (space)owns!!1!

if you use it. spread it. if you don't use it then keep it under wraps.

also you will find that if you type it in after you have recieved your hero you will get nothing. so be careful how you do it.

I still think that 500 gold in anyone's hand is pointless. And if it did matter to the player then he could have won with it. It's like you get a 1000 pound stick during a fight. Even if you have it. If you can't lift it then it's useless. And if you could lift it then you should be able to kill the other guy without it. Unless they are some guy who is equally or stronger then you.

And another thing.. i doubt there was few people that didnt know it.. the past 20-30 games ive played there was at least someone on my team that knew the code and used it in all players.. there were too many people that knew about it, and really shouldnt have. Although.. ive been w8n for this day to come so i can release about 600 replays :wink:

I still never used that code either. I remember asking what was the gold code before it was removed and Squal said it was -applesnacks but you only get a confern message. And I just believed that. And even if I did. I would not be able to find a version of Ultimate Footmen "who had the gold code" still in it.
