I'd like anyone who has any ideas for PoLlama and where we are headed to submit them here.

As many of you have noticed, PoLlama is different from most sites, even our name is 'different', thus we are not understood easily and things can get confusing. Nevertheless, it is working, as the community continues to grow larger and larger at a faster and faster rate. But as we grow larger more problems arise, so anyone with any ideas for the good of the site, reply to this thread.

I think that once we get the new Foots out (maybe with some eye-catching advertisments) the site will grow larger, and to keep up with the ever-growing site population, this is what I suggest:

1. Give them a reason to come here - Those credits a while back? That is an example. People want to get something out of it (as if friends aren't enough...) and feel as if its rewarding.

2. More Mods - More people means more law enforcement. 1 or 2 more Mods will do for a long while.

3. More Clan Events - FFF (Friday Night Footmen) is great, don't get me wrong, but some activeness and diversity would be welcome.

Those are my ideas.

more mods are not needed until we reach a significantly higher rate of active users. as it is Darkslinger could probably handle all the problems as is. my one thing is for mods- have a little button on everyones post to send a message to the three admins to consider extra punishment to a user in case the admins don't see it.

Ogres rite slinger takes care of all the weird stuff that happens here .

I was thinking of having an entire section for replays not only ultf but other maps too like AoZ, dota etc. and then one mod for that board and players can rate the replay n stuff. just an idea

I suggest having a forum for topic games like: Rate Our Signature, Finish the Story, What If..
Something else besides Warcraft all day every day.

OK some ideas for you guys...

1. You guys HAVE to get out another footmen frenzy with new stuff. As in new upgrade for all classes...

2. As someone stated i forgot who it was but anyways...credits for visiting site...Like for every 10 posts on the site 500 gold in game with a special code or something..but every code is different so the gold code problem doesnt happen again.

3. Support in more different kinds of games. (Ex: CounterStrike) Alot of people play that so you could make a clan in Counterstrike and recruit lots of people and so on...

Why not make a graphic section so graphic artist would want to come to pollama also. And also we could have a smile contest and the best 3 gets added.

You mite have already thot of this.. but what about a script that creates a subwindow when you drag the mouse over a certain thing..
Like drag it over somthing to give descriptions or topic views..

Yeah I actually like that idea. And it would be helpful for some guys in the resent area because sometimes it's a clan topic and you really have no reason to actually look besides that fact that it has a cool topic name.

A special forum for programming, graphic works, other technical stuff like the above.

A Wiki.

A Private forum for mods and above (unless there is already one I don't know about.)

An extension to the current clan GoS ( even though I am not in it, I still support it!)

And a games sub-forum.

ok, an idea i have for absolute fairness is for, if a member is threatened with being suspended or worse, they and the admin or whatever go to a different guy in a new "justice" section of pollama where you can solve problems and see if the admin or accused is correct! (i know it sounds like law and order lol)

We had one. The link used to be Http://www.PoLlama.com/wiki, but I think Apples have closed for some time now.

We have. Three boards; Control Center, Graveyard, Reports.

add don't insult people's beliefs into the guidelines/rules because that really pisses some members off.


But back to the topic. I prefer arctials then a wiki anyway because then only people will power which is a mod or admin. And mods and admins are picked personally by MrApples so you know they won't mess up the arcticals.

Only a few things pisses me off. And that's one of the few who does. Also one of the largest. Well anyway. Stop before you start a war here.

Also one really big thing would be that I heard that StartCraft 2 will come out soon. When it does I'm sure that it will have a better version of the StarEdit that is better then the worldedit. So hosting StarCraft maps will also help Pollama out a lot.

Yes it is one of the rules. This is just the default theme and some gamers like a darker theme so that's why. Also it really looks cool. Also this theme has that awesome banner.

Mods have been really a pain in the ass to install with this new theme, it uses a completely different style of code, similar to Vbulletin, thus its kinda hard to edit.

Whining IS a crime, when you come home from a long day and comehome sit down and having people whining at you for NO absolute reason..If I were president I would bann whining and kill all the whiners.

Anyways about the credits thing..You can always get someone to install that into the map for you if you dont like doing it..Because it would give people a BIG resaon to come to the site.

Presidents don't have that kind of power. Dictators do. And when they did that. We called it the Holocaust. Killing a group of people for no reason. But I'm done taking about dictators and stuff. I got tired during the VG Emblem/MrApples fight which I remembered I really had no part in playing. As for the credit part. It will not bring more members here. Or at least enough to notice. A few months ago hundreds of members joined to post ideas about Ultimate Footmen. Do you know how little of them were considered good ideas for Ultimate Footmen. And how many of those were even considered to be in the map?
