  | Viacom sues YouTube for 1 billion U.S. Dollars Viacom, who owns the TV-channel "MTV", now sues YouTube. The reason is that Viacom means that YouTube is sharing over 160.000 of copyright vidoes, which has been estimated to viewed over a half billion times. It happend after Viacom contacted YouTube and ask them to remove about 100.000 vidoes. When that didn't happened Viacom felt to go the court's way. As compensation Vaicom wanted 1 billion doallars. I don't think Google will pay such money (YouTube has been bought by Google), but if Viacom wins what next? The whole world will sue Google. Just think of all those copyright vidoes on YouTube... |
